Charming bed & breakfast located near Anchorage in the middle of nature. Extremely nice owners who do all they can to be at your service. The lady is from Scotland and she has really the sweet personality of Scottish people. Room very clean, nice maybe just a little small but really not a problem because you have the good sensation... The Highland Glen Lodge was more than I expected in many ways. The room we had was very spacious, the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was large and had many extra features. We had a separate bath tub and also a shower. They had shampoo and lotions available, which were lovely. The owners were friendly and helpful and the... More

Can't add much to previous reviews. Very clean and quiet, the beds super comfy. At breakfast (8 people) it seemed like there were numerous special requests which the hosts gladly accommodated. Be aware that the B&B is about 15 to 20 minutes away from downtown Anchorage. We knew this and were willing to make the drive to stay at this... More

We stayed here for one night on our way out of Alaska - we actually got a last minute deal here and were very pleased with our choice (I usually do loads of research on places to stay) - this was a pleasant surprise find). The hosts were friendly & gracious without being intrusive. The place was tastefully decorated (scottish... More

This is a beautiful, gracefully appointed home that is a far cry from the Alaska lodge experience. The hosts are kind, friendly, and nonobtrusive. The beds are great and the rooms are quiet. Breakfast here is amazing - not just abundant but beautifully cooked. We stayed here at the end of a trip through some rugged, remote territory. It was... More

This place is a bargain and a real find. The common areas are elegant although the upstairs sitting area is kind of 70's looking. The hostess is delightful and breakfast was wonderful, but no choices... You had to take what was served which was fine with us. Treats, popcorn, etc.were provided and it was a good experience overall. The host's... More

This is a beautifully furnished B & B located in the foothills of Anchorage. Cliff and Sheila provided excellent hospitality in a house that they have created reflecting their Scottish heritage. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfasts were exceptional. More

Our three genertion family stayed here the first night we arrived in Alaska after a long day of travel. Hosts were very welcoming and rooms very comfortable. This was my parents' first bed and breakfast experieince and they were a little leary of staying in someones' home. The arrangement of the rooms and the privacy made them feel very comfortable.... This B&B is close to one of the best hiking spots in Anchorage (Flat Top Mt.) and though a little further out from the city proper, was totally worth the drive! Breakfasts were amazingly wonderful, and our hosts were full of information about where to go and what to see - the best places to eat, etc. We started and... More

Highland Glen B&B is located a little outside of Anchorage. It is worth the extra way, if you have a rental car or a car of your own. Located at the hills above Anchorage, the lodge has several rooms, a large garden with garden-house and grill equipment, hot tub etc. We stayed our first night and our two last nights... More
