When we booked out post-cruise stay in Anchorage, this was the cheapest decent hotel that we could find, and it delivered just about what we would expect for a place to sleep on. There was no breakfast as we expected during our booking and that did not hinder anything to be honest. The room was pretty spacious, as well as its washroom. I can definitely tell that despite the new-look furnitures, they showed a little bit of age, but not totally dated as other hotels though. Check in and check out were a breeze. The hotel feels a bit sketchy quite frankly. There was even a police car and a police officer inside the hotel in one of the days we were there. Hopefully it was just a one-off.

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for two nights. The room was spacious and clean. There was no fridge, microwave or breakfast in the morning. This hotel is next to a busy road that is very noisy. Floors are thin as well and you can hear the people above you. For the price we paid, I expected more.

The room itself is pretty clean and nice, but my neighbors are really loud an argumentative, I was not pleased with the night service. Definitely was better before the pandemic. Really miss the old staff

A friend and I stayed here three nights on our first trip to Alaska. It is a half mile away from several restaurants, so it is in a decent location. The employees we encountered were nice. The room was in good condition, but no real amenities. That is part of the Motel 6 experience. The beds were comfortable; the bathroom was pretty good but low water pressure. We arrived early because of a change in flights, and the front desk clerk allowed us to check in two hours early as there was a room ready for that. We had been on a flight for a long time, and that was appreciated! They provided a shuttle to the airport at 1:00 A.M., when the airline changed the departure time from 4:35 P.M. to 2:55 A.M. The staff did a great job trying to accommodate all our needs.

For the price was a great stay. I never stayed in a motel before but overall was a pleasant experience. The stuff was really nice & tried to help out. Alaska it’s expensive so it was cheap & clean in all our 4 night stays. Highly recommended, also very close to the airport

We stayed for several nights, and it was quiet, clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I've been in much more expensive hotels that could take some lessons from this one on how to satisfy your customers. Love that they have a laundry on site.

My husband went to book a 2 night stay online and before he could finish his transaction from the already overpriced $115/night, the rate jumped to $220!! Motel 6 is no big deal, it's okay if you just want to hang your hat when you have business to attend to but $497 for 2 nights should be criminal and I told the front desk clerk so when I paid the bill. And on top of that, there were some kind of insects on the bed sheets, not sure if they were bed bugs but my husband had to argue with the front desk to let him change rooms. Drunks fighting in the lobby and the parking lot didn't exactly make for a great night's sleep either. Shame on Motel 6 for charging this outrageous rate, NOT WORTH IT.

I knew it wouldn't be the best when the parking lot was full of over flowing trash cans, broken down cars, and a group of people doing drugs in the corner but I'm normally not too picky so I went inside hoping for the best. The first attendant was great! She knew me by name as my traveling buddy had called ahead and made the reservation for me. My flight arrived to town early on May 22nd and my baby and I needed an early check-in. They allowed this and was very friendly throughout check-in. After a few hours of napping I woke and gathered up some laundry and went in search of the laundry room. I couldn't find it so I went to ask the front desk. The attendant from earlier in the day was gone and was replaced with a young brunette. I clearly asked "do you have coin-op laundry?" twice. She couldn't understand me so she called over another brunette from the back. They both spoke Spanish to each other. She looked down at the laundry I was carrying and said, "what about it?" I again asked "is there coin-op laundry here?". She said yes but they don't provide coins and that I have to bring my own. Great, I already had a pocket full of coins, I've been to hotels before and I know the drill. I told her that I had my own money. She then asked "are you from here?". I live in Washington so I told her a simple, "no". She then demanded to see my hotel key card, so I showed her. I felt as thought they thought I was homeless or didn't belong there. Never once did either of them smile at me, let alone use basic manners or use a speck of hospitality towards me. They finally told me the laundry was located on the second floor. I also asked for extra towels but they wouldn't give me any unless I brought back the used ones. I found this odd as I, myself, have worked in hospitality for the past seven years. Once inside the laundry room I realized that they didn't have a laundry detergent dispenser but I felt so shunned by the front desk attendants that I decided to just skip detergent. The whole experience was tainted with that one interaction and it wasn't a great start to my vacation. I would have considered staying here again despite the grubby state of the hotel, the laundry room full of clothes, the cigarette burns in the comforters and the graffitied elevators but the costumer service (or lack there of) has ensured that I'll never be back. The next night I stayed across the street at the Hilton Garden and the best part was that all of the panhandlers, the hookers getting carried off to police cars (yes, someone was arrested as we checked out!), and the sketchy guys asking if we wanted to buy a stolen purse were not present and seemed to stay across the street at the Motel 6.

I have only had the pleasure to deal with Rhonda and Claudia but they are both warm welcoming and very outgoing. On the two occasions I needed their help, I was treated like I was their only concern. The second time wasn't actually their concern. I had a meal delivered, it had no utensils, Rhonda dropped what she was doing and found some for me. I could still smell the cleaner that was used on the room and that was a comfort. The climate control is programmable to the degree. Best room in Anchorage for a reasonable price.

Cost per night is average for Anchorage with a low cost motel. But to my surprise: 1. NO HAIR DRYERS. I was told they ran out of them. 2. Only three (3) small pillows for a KING size bed. Not enough. 3. Thin walls. Would not even pick us up at the Rail Road Station. Hey Motel 6, Comfort Inn would did this for us earlier in the week. I will say that the room is clean. Lets see how the evening goes.
