I like staying downtown and thought I would give this place a try. The reviews are right, this is a fantastic place! Big rooms, full kitchen, clean and quiet. You get free parking, a continental breakfast and a daily newspaper. The price was GREAT and I WILL stay here again.

The main entrance puts you in between floors so it is necessary to walk down about 5 steps to reach the front desk and elevator. Plenty of room to spread out. Well appointed and within walking distance of plenty of restaurants and the main shopping area. Didn't notice any undue noise from the railway. We were taking the train to Seward the next morning so the Grand was perfectly located, we walked to station with our luggage -its downhill :)
