We used this as our stopping point during different legs of our summer trip to Alaska. We stayed in three different rooms. They were clean and lacked for nothing that we needed. The location of the hotel is a little removed from downtown Anchorage, but a complimentary shuttle was always provided. There's a nice little organic market across the street.... more

Thank you for the kind words, the staff enjoyed reading this one!

I am an Alaskan who has stayed at Inlet Towers at least 20 times. It's a older building in a residential part of Anchorage with two public school playgrounds within a few blocks and a popular grocery/pizza/deli/coffee shop directly across the street. The hotel is on 13th street and downtown proper is on 5th Avenue. Prices in Alaska are expensive... more

Our room was very nice, and we had a great view of Cook Inlet and the mountains. There was a mini kitchen and down comforters on the bed. The continental breakfast was adequate. My only complaint is that we could hear people walking over our heads. more

Great review! We love to hear that we met or exceeded our guests expectations! I do apologize about the noise you heard, we have very few of those complaints as our building is concrete and steel. We would be more than happy to get you a top floor room on your next stay!

Located on 1200 L Street, a few blocks from downtown, this 15 story building could be mistaken for an apartment building if you don't know exactly where you are going. Now under new ownership rooms are being refurbished floor by floor. Be sure to ask for a room with totally new furnishings, some upper floors have views of Cooks Inlet.... more

Thank you so much for the kind words! We do offer a shuttle to the 5th ave mall, we would be happy to drop offs at other hot spots as well! what ever it takes to make our guests happy....

WARNING! Do not book a room with this hotel on their internet site unless you know you will stay there. If you cancel, you will be charged. I have an email confirmation of my cancellation of a reservation a month in advance, yet was still billed for that room. Further, repeated messages left with both the General Manager (Fred Luecker)... more

I have resolved this issue personally. It is defiantly not our policy to charge despite cancellation. This was a unfortunate occurrence that I have taken steps to ensure that don't ever happen again. I offer my deepest apologizes for this error.

We loved this hotel because we had a gorgeous view, the room was large and the bed was SO cozy and comfy. We had previously stayed in a super tiny room so it was nice to spread out. For the price you pay this is a great value! Bathroom was super small and the bathtub was raised kind of high.... more

After 16 hours of traveling and being up for over 24 hours, we checked it at 1AM dog tired. We had to wait approximately an hour for the courtesy shuttle. (Strike 1) We were given the keys to our room, and upon opening the door, the bed was unmade and used towels hanging from the shower rod. The room was... more

This is the dumpiest hotel with the worst staff I've ever had the nightmare of staying in. There was one working ice machine for 12 floors, they "ran out of" towels, there was no coffee in the room as promised, then to top it all off, they double charged us, and we've made at least 8 phone calls trying to... more

Inlet Tower should just quit billing itself as a boutique hotel and market itself as budget accomodations downtown instead. The decor in the lobby and rooms is kind of worn and dated. The couches in the lobby look like they've been in someone's rumpus room for 20 years. The rooms themselves have tacky decor and the bedspread was starting to... more

Only stayed at this hotel for one night as we were in between trains from Seward/Anchorage and Anchorage/Denali. No hair dryer in room. Called to front desk, who assured me they would send one up. No such luck. Had to go down to front desk with wet hair to obtain hair dryer. Asked for wake up call so we wouldn't... more
