The Silver Cloud on Broadway was a perfectly adequate and clean hotel. I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. My only complaint about it was that it's far from downtown. Very well maintained and clean hotel. I've stayed at a Silver Cloud hotel in Portland, and this one met my high expectations. I especially love the big bowl of candy in the lobby--always a nice touch. Staff were very helpful with maps and directions to area attractions, including neighborhood cafes and parks. more

During all my stay, I never met a valet parking nor a doorman. At the reception desk, the person didn't make an effort to understand me in English since I speak french. No smile, little service. Ditto to what everybody else is saying about Silver Cloud--it's a great hotel. I found the staff really accommodating and quick to help. My room was equipped with a microwave oven and a mini-fridge, which gave the room a home-like feel, which I like. I particularly appreciated the complimentary shuttle service. Nice touch. more

Great hotel, just a few block from downtown. They run a shuttle bus frequently to downtown which is great. Staff is very helpful. Complimentary breakfast is also good, especially the waffels. more
