Seattle is not known for its budget accommodation. I found this place a couple of days before I was due to arrive in Seattle, it was one of the only backpackers that had rooms available. It came to about $42 USD per person for a bed in a four person dorm. It was quite expensive, but there were no other...

This is one of the nicest hostels that I have ever been in during my fifteen years of hosteling. The staff is great and very friendly and considering I got in about seven hours before check-in they still stored my gear and let me shower. I have not had any issues with the other guests that are staying here either....

Having traveled to Seattle via Amtrak, this HI hostel is well situated, just a short 5-minute walk from the station and very close to the football & baseball stadiums. However, while this location is convenient, it's also in a rather unsavory part of town; somewhere that you wouldn't really want to walk at night by yourself.
The hostel is quite...

Pretty good digs for the price but this area gets a little iffy after a certain time. If you're a night owl, you'll more than likely have an occasion to introduce yourself to the zombies / crackheads that come out when traffic dies down. Very easy pay-parking directly across the street. I'd stay there again

I stayed at HI-Seattle with my boyfriend on a Saturday night before going to a Seahawks game. It was perfect because I drove down from Vancouver and was able to park for free on the street after 8pm and the whole day on Sunday is free too. It wasn't too far a walk to CenturyLink Field AND we found a...

This hostel is close to the train station (which has trains going to the airport all the time). Also walking distance to Seattle Downtown. Buses go all the time (and are free in downtown Seattle!). The football and baseball stadium are also in walking distance. Chinese restaurants are right next door (it is in the international district).
Friendly staff, clean...

Clean hostel, close to train station, with good breakfasts and more than adequate kitchen and laundry facilities, staff friendly and informative.

Went here solo, and it was alright for the price. Close to mass transit, but the neighborhood is otherwise not so nice. Rooms were reasonable, nothing special. A bit hot and stuffy, but it's a hostel. Staff was hit or miss. Some friendly, some not so much. You get what you pay for though and it's certainly cheap.

Convenient locale: near mass transit, International District, stadiums. There was a snafu with our reservations for 8 people in two rooms; the front desk seemed chaotic and when we finally got into our rooms we found strangers living there. But otherwise a well-run place. Rooms were clean, but cramped. The lockers in the room couldn't handle our luggage. The tiny...
