If you care more about space and convenience than decor, this is the place! It was obviously built as an apartment house rather than a hotel, so there is plenty of space and storage in the rooms. The place is old-fashioned, never was stylish and never will be, but it is comfortable and useful. There is a kitchenette and basic... More

It is what it is: a 50-year old three-story walk-up apartment building, converted to a hotel. Old, but pretty quiet (no traffic noise) and spotlessly clean. Nothing "ick". Appears to be very well managed. Updated amenities-- new sinks, new toilet. Each suite has a standard hotel air-conditioning unit. Very roomy, you definitely won't feel cramped. Suite's completely furnished, including all... More

I usually stay at 3star plus hotels and was on an extended trip and needed a low-cost room w/ kitchen. This place makes me smile. It is a total throw back to 20/30 years ago and the deco shows it. It reminds me of my mother-in-laws basement and smells a little like it. It may have been outdated but it... More

Just two of us stayed in one of their suites, and it could have accomodated at least another four people. The decor goes back to the 1970s, but is clean, and the the kitchen, bathroom, lounge area, bedrooms are spacious and very well equiped. We loved being in the university district, which was a short bus ride from downtown, had... More

For the bargain price we paid for this room, I'd like to give this property a glowing review. Given the rate of $95 in the summer months, with internet and parking included, it's hard to complain. But, alas, it's often true that you get what you pay for. The suite is just basic, very basic, and that's what you're paying... More

I stayed here with my teenage sons. The suite is very spacious and well equipped. Shops are 2 minutes walk away in quiet suburb of Seattle. The staff were friendly and helpful. Next time I stay there I'll request not to be near the laundry though, as the smell was a bit strong sometimes. This hotel is very well situated... More

Clean, convenient, quiet, everything in the suite works. Basically an apartment building run as a hotel. The suites cost less than you would pay for an average hotel room (I paid $81 on the Fourth of July weekend). The colours and appliances would all have been chic forty years ago, but everything worked just fine. I rattled around in my... More

I recently went on vacation to Seattle last week and stayed at the University Hotel, which I book on Expedia for $129/night. The University Hotel was surprisingly a lot nicer than I thought it was going to be and the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. We checked in at around 1 a.m. and the front desk staff was... More
