Well, I like this sort of place. It has lots of character, visible wood, scrolly frilly decor, dramatic entrance lobby that makes you feel you've arrived at least somewhere. I didn't have too much chance to explore the neighborhood, but my local host drove me around a bit and pointed out all the great eateries and coffee shops (Seattle is... More

Lovely old building with tremendous character, lots of space and an EXCELLENT location. Market, drugstore, and ER nearby. Fabulous restaurants across each street. Close to wharf and Needle. Used hotwire and then upgraded upon check-in. I will be back! More

We loved the Marqueen. The early 1900 design was absoluetly stunning. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was good. The staff was extremely helpful in trying to find my husbands wallet after he accidently left it in a cab. They went to great lengths to help us but unfortunately were unsuccessful. It was comforting to... More

We love the Marqueen and will stay again and again, I'm sure. This time we have a couple complaints; the tub was not clean and the fitted sheet didn't fit the bed. Also, be aware: if you don't ask for a street side room, you might feel like it's 10 p.m. in your room 24/7. We love the location (in... More

The Marqueen's entrance is truly lovely and their staff was as helpful as we could have hoped-valet was so quick. My grown kids and I loved the old, converted apartment building feel, and the beds were very comfortable. My husband, who joined us a couple days in, hoped for an amenity or two more such as an elevator, or a... More

We stayed at the MarQueen in early November. It is just up the hill a few blocks from the Space Needle and if you walk through the park you pass through the old grounds of the Worlds Fair of 1962 called Seattle Center with the International Fountain & the entrance to the Monorail which goes 1 1/2 miles to downtown... This place does everything right! It was fun to step back in time in this beauiful old building. and the staff could not of been friendlier. We were celebrating a birthday and they made us feel so very special. The place is nice and clean and such a surprise when you find that you have a kitchen, and sitting room... More

My husband and I were visiting our daughter for our first trip to Seattle. The room was very large. It was on the street side of the first floor and I really didn't encounter a noise problem. It had a nicely appointed kitchen and a very large bathroom It also had a sitting area with couch and easy chair that... More

Fantastic Queen Anne location surrounded by restaurants with lovely views. Hardwood floors and old porcelain tubs, spacious rooms and suites, friendly and helpful staff. Not for you if want all modern cookie cutter chain rooms. Sound proofing for quiet nights means no fresh air. Room service from nearby 10 Mercer wonderful, great breakfast across the street at Pepe's and Toulouse... More

I stayed there in Mid October while going to a concert at the Key Arena. This hotel is great for location to the Seattle Center, walking distance. The Hotel itself is well appointed with period like furnishings. The rooms and building are old and do have that old building smell. I was on the ground floor and the windows are... More
