After a few fantastic days staying at a great B&B in the Loire Valley (Clos Rabelais, Langeais) and a the wonderful Hotel Roz Aven we were looking forward greatly to our first experience of a couple of nights in a French Manoir. We stayed here for 2 nights last summer and had a miserable time. The house was cold both in temperature and ambiance. I happened to get a peek into the kitchen as well (which was off limits for guest use) and it was disgusting. During the day there was no one around to help us navigate the city or answer...
