Mooi appartement.

This is a very nice B&B, a cottage all for yourself in a lush garden next to a forest. Downstairs living room, kitchen and bathroom with shower, upstars bedroom with three beds. Couch in living room can be converted in a bed for 2, would recommend only for children. Cottage is next to owners house and has a huge, beautiful garden. From the garden you can walk straight into the forest. Very friendly owners. Did not book the breakfast as we were visiting family close by. Recommended!

I'm not sure how many people find themselves in Fjenneslev looking for a place to stay ( we were here for visits to old family sites), but this is this place if you are. We made all arrangements on line with Per, the owner. Everything was perfect, and he was practically waiting for us at the door. The accommodations are clean, comfortable, and quaint. We were unfortunately here during a cold wind or we would have enjoyed what appears to be some beautiful grounds to sit in or explore. The only sound we heard all night was the wind in the trees. Per had breakfast (extra) waiting for us in the fridge, a very nice Danish spread. Our only complaint, if you can really call it that, is the rather steep ladder going up to our bedroom. A little treacherous at night. So if you're not a mountain goat, try the others rooms. But try this b & b, because you will not be disappointed.

:) Men ellers helt gennemført lækkert :)

I have tried to google and find all ways to find contact with this B&B but I have not been able to. So how have you made a booking? Thank you for your help. I have rated the property very good, and will update it when/if I get a chance to visit.

We have spent two holidays in Amalie's B&B, in the summer of 2012 and 2011. We are a family with two kids (now 6 and 8 years old). The owners Per and Sunny are very friendly and will do everything to make you feel at home. They are helpful and can give you lots of information about things to do, if you ask for it. But they leave you to do your own things as well. You will have lots of privacy, for sure. The place is very peaceful, at the edge of a forrest and farmland (oats). Every day we saw plenty of deer coming out of the forrest in the early mornings or evenings. They eat from the farmlands. Even a fox has been spotted by us and ofcourse hare and partridges. The gardens are beautiful and very big! There is a pond, lots of different terraces, an outdoor fire place, a water pump (for the kids to play with on hot days). There is a bbq as well. The little house has everything you need. It has a lot of charm, it feels cosy and you can tell the owners really care. It has got that personal touch, you don't get in hotels and the big holiday parks! It has got a small kitchen. For us, even with a family of 4, we could manage. Fresh flowers are on the table at arrival. And you will get a warm welcome. Downstairs is a sofa bed, but we didn't use that. I think the sound of the fridge would disturb my sleep. Upstairs is a very cosy open-plan bedroom, with a very comfortable double bed and single bed. We managed to even put an airbed in the room as well. But when you are a couple, there is plenty of space. There is a tv upstairs and a nice view on the forrest and gardens. The only worry could be the steep staircase when you have kids. But you get used to it. The bathroom is very clean and has a small shower with curtain. Toilet and sink. Plenty of towels and all the stuff you need. The house is very clean, cosy and has got friendly athmosphere to it. Lots to do and see in Sealand. Nearby Soro has got a good swimming lake. Go to the sea in Koge, nice sandy beaches. Visit Trelleborg to sea some viking culture and so on, and on. I would recommend to get a Lonely Planet Guide on Denmark. Danmark, we will be back!

After an abortive attempt to stay her last year, finally we had a week in May. The apartment is a separate building in a group owed and lived in by the owner, Per Kroyer. It is an excellent apartment for 2, down a dirt track off a minor road, on the edge of a forest. For those who like the outdoor life, this place ticks all the boxes. It is, literally, on the edge of a forest – Lille Bøgeskov (little beech forest), which leads onto Store Bøgeskov (big...) and then onto a lake called Gyrstinge sø. The areas nearby are littered with barrows, long and round, and chambered cairns. It is wonderful and peaceful all the time, and even the dawn chorus seems muted. The garden at the apartment is massive, you can light a fire, have various places to sit (as long as you do not sit near the owner’s house, perfectly obvious to most, but some folks need it spelling out apparently), have a BBQ, or just relax and enjoy the good weather when it comes. The apartment is fitted with all the things needed to cater for yourselves; we bring an ‘apartment’ box with us, but hardly needed anything out of it this trip. Don’t expect massive luxury, but it has everything you need, including internet access, a heated floor in the bathroom, it is clean and very reasonably priced. The steps up to the bedroom are rather steep, this may be pertinent to some. If you have trouble sleeping when it is light, bring blinkers or large black plastic bags to peg up, as the apartment faces east and, when it is sunny (we did not have that problem), the sun will come in. On the same note, the patio faces east and loses the sun in the afternoon, but as I mentioned earlier, there are other places to sit in the garden to enjoy the sun all day. Although the weather was not brilliant when we were there, we did enjoy our stay and, being centrally placed in Sjælland (Zealand), almost everywhere is easy to reach. Visit the round church at Bjernede (within walking distance); and Sorø is worth a look round. Sorry for not publishing this earlier, but it was ‘lost’ in my PC! We would go again if we had the opportunity.
