The hotel offers stunning views of the Wolfgangsee and the Schafbergmountain from its public rooms and also has the great terrace for all meals (but beware of the wasps!). It also has its own private boathouse down at the lake (and it took me not the 10 minutes mentioned in one review, but rather two or three...). It is a... More

We stayed in Billroth during Salzburg Festival. It worthed to commute to downtown Salzburg for every concert which takes 30-40 minutes. Parking in Salzburg is miracoulasly easy and not expensive. The Hotel is just by Wolfgangzee which is one the most beatiful lakes in the region. There are plenty of hiking treks around St. Gilgen which keeps you busy during... More

The Billroth has a beautiful terrace, where one may take all meals and a great boathouse and lake-dock, where one may sunbathe, etc. but the water is quite a steep 10 min.walk down from the hotel itself. We found the evening meals to be fairly terrible - beautiful to the eye but terrible to the palate (more Eastern European 'creativity' than... More

This is a gem of a hotel. Perfect for a restful holiday. The Billroth has an enviable position with beautiful views of the lake and within a short walking distance of the village. We loved the boathouse and used the free pedalo on a gloriously sunny day - a must for those with plenty of energy. We stayed in a... More

Hotel Billroth is beautiful, extremely clean, friendly & located in a stunning area of Austria. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We've stayed there twice now. Both times, our rooms were spacious and spotless. This hotel is also dog friendly. You'd never know from the rooms which is great.

My wife and I had seen the excellent reviews on tripadvisot and decided on that basis. We stayed for 10 days half board and could not have been more satisfied...The staff were excellent, no language problems, we had a large room in the extension, two balconies magnificient views of the lake and mountains. Fabulous, is the only word to describe... More

We chose Parkhotel Billroth for the excellent reviews it received via Tripadvisor. We weren't disappointed. The food was excellent, and if you don't like something on the set dinner menu, you can ask for this to be changed (within reason!). The service is second to none, with waiting staff trained and educated in what they're serving and also a good... More

Well positioned hotel overlooking lake Wolfgansee. 15 minutes walk from the centre of St Gilgen, a very pretty village with good selection of cafes etc. A must is a very amusing visit to the music museum; for adults and children. Be prepared for quickly changeable weather Hotel has a very good standard of evening meal, people dress up and some... More

I think we can save a lot of writting by just saying "fantastic". However as this is a review site I would like to let anyone who may be booking why we came to this conclusion. We booked this holiday with Inghams and I guess this is the only area where we may have a slight complaint. We wish companies... More
