This should have been a really great review, the hotel was perfectly situated, our rooms were great - spacious, clean and warm, the food was very good and the facilities more than adequate! Alas what let it down was service, not that it wasn't on time, not that it wasn't efficient because it was all of those but it was just plain unfriendly!!! I'm not sure if the waiting staff took an instant dislike to us and our Irish neighbours at the next table but everything was an effort, there were no smiles (except when we were leaving), no flexibility, no beers before dinner (the bar was unmanned) and God forbid should I ask for a soft boiled egg for breakfast (even when they ran out an hour before breakfast finished). I'm at a loss as to why these people get into the hospitality business. and its not a slight about Austrian people because everywhere else in the resort (without exception) the locals were friendly.
