We have stayed in this hotel twice, and we have never been disappointed. It is close to the French quarter and an easy walk to many other attractions in NOLA as well. As it is outside the quarter it is quiet, so street noise is never a problem. The rooms are nice, clean, nothing fancy but it is clean and... more

I have traveled to new orleans numerous times, and after finding my usual choice booked, i researched many hotels and decided on Lafayette. When I arrived, I found the hotel to be an impressive building right on the tip of the hotel cluster on St. Charles near the French Quarter. After entering the modest lobby, and a trip to the... more

This is not a generic, could-be-anywhere hotel. The shabby-chic look (in a good way), the Big Easy atmosphere, the French balconies, the laid-back (again, in a good way) staff all scream 'New Orleans.' Now, that also requires a little tolerance: We had reserved a king suite and upon arrival, were told we were being given a queen suite because there... more

Room was $200+ Advertised as luxury hotel, pictures on the web site showed resturant. In reality, this hotel was average at best! No resturant, no room service, not even coffee other than the stale stuff in the room. Mini bar locked, charged for a safe and telephone calls. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. more

Great small southern hotel. Large rooms, friendly staff, great location (in Warehouse District, walking distance to the Frency Quarter and River, St. Charles streetcar stop right in front of hotel). A nice place to stay to be close to everything but avoid the noise and crazziness of the Quarter. more

We stayed in the Lafayette for three nights in September, the hotel was lovely and we had a great time we fully intended to go back again next year, on leaving the hotel our bill was settled in full, we were very surprised when two months later two charges were applied to our credit card amounting to almost $600 dollars,... more

Dear Guest, We are sorry for the confusion. I am sure by now you have all the evidence that all of your due refunds are in order. I believe you recieved a statement before your credits were posted. As far as the unreturned phone calls? I am sorry we do not have the capability to make international phone calls. I...

I'm honestly surprised by some of the bad reviews on here. We had a great time at the Lafayette Hotel, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, courteous and friendly to us. We stayed with our dog, and they have a very reasonable dog policy and also gave him biscuits at the front desk! Our room was clean and... more

Hi Folks, I trust the rest of your trip went well. Luis has enetered the pups' picture into his pet archives. In fact, he emailed the pictures around to people in our company. It was really great to have you all stay with us. We loved sharing our city with you. I think partying on Bourbon Street at Halloween sort...

This is an older facility, so there are a few bumps and warts. That said, the accomodations were clean, with some nice amenities such as the shower robes. Convenient location on the St. Charles trolley line, and a few blocks from Poydras Street and the French Quarter. The staff was very helpful. You do need to know in advance that... more

The Lafayette Hotel has Old New Orleans charm with modern conveniences. Great location--both convenient and quiet--you can easily hop on the streetcar or walk to the French Quarter. Very friendly staff. We would definitely stay here again. more
