The Lamothe Hotel is a charming Southern home with exceptional staff. Miss DeAun was exceptionally professional and assisted us immensely. She recommended the best place to eat and she worked with us and for us regarding our room. She was wealth of information and a gem for this hotel and our stay. Thank you Miss DeAun. More

We stayed at the Lamothe House Hotel in the middle of September 2011 ... our second time at the property. Being slightly off-season, we could have our choice of mega hotels in the French Quarter but prefer the LHH because of its location (edge of the French Quarter, but near the very interesting Frenchmen St.). The pool is the crowning... More

My husband and I have stayed here several times over the last five years. If it is a generic clean and squeaky hotel you are are looking for, than the Lamothe house is not for you. If it is historical feel of old New Orleans with a great location than for the price it cannot be beat. Yes there could... More

We are delighted you and your husband continue to stay at the Lamothe House Hotel. We do our best to prevent the occasional heating or plumbing issue that takes place in our nineteenth century building, and respond as promptly as possible to fix any problems that arise. We look forward to your next visit with us! More

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and that's about it. Yes I get that it's old but that doesn't mean it is ok to let the hotel get run down and dirty. As soon as we walked in we were struck by the overpowering old musty smell. There was no reception desk and no sign as... More

I am sorry you were not satisfied with your recent stay at the Lamothe House. Our building is going on it's 180th birthday which means we work even harder to ensure cleanliness of our public areas and guest rooms alike. We do experience the occassional plumbing issue and our maintenance team promptly acts on any issue that arises. We are... More

Lamothe House is not the same old average hotel. This place has a lot of character- more so than some other hotels in New Orleans may claim. My fiance and I stayed here last year and really dug it. We like to walk around New Orleans and Lamothe House was super close to some of the best fried chicken I've... More

We stayed at the Lamothe House last year during Jazzfest. My Son-in-law booked a suite in the carriage house on line. We arrived about sundown after a full day at Fest and were ready for a shower and nice bed after staying all day in the sun at Jazzfest. My wife and I stayed in the back bedroom in twin... More

The Lamothe House advertised on Bookit.com that FREE parking was included, they refused to honor it! It cost me an extra $75. My standard room was small and plain. The tiled floor always felt greasy and dirty. The toilet had gross stains in it. The door knob leading into the second floor reception area came off in my hands. The... More

Thank you for posting your feedback. We honor free parking for Monday-Thursday stays as promoted by Bookit.com. It is dissapointing to learn of your poor experience at our property as based on the size and ambiance of the room. All of our rooms vary is size and decor and should you have informed the front desk of the issues we... More

We rented multiple rooms for my daughter's wedding last April. I loved my experience there. The room was appointed with period pieces very high cielings and was cool all day. I had a very large ground floor room, with french doors that opened onto Esplanade. There was a sitting room area and a large four poster bed, that was very... More

I am an experienced visitor to the Big Easy, having lived here for four years and now visit 1-3 x/ per year. I stay exclusively in the French Quarters older hotels desiring to feel I have gone back in time. I expect the condition of most places to be "used" but not run down. I expect the accommodations to be... More

We loved staying here. I read all the reviews on Trip Advisor and other travel sites before making my decision and I was not disappointed. A most gracious review. Thank you. It is our quest to provide the experience you have just described and most gratifying to see it in print. We hope you had the same experience with the city at large (if your talking beignets at Cafe Du Monde it sounds as though you did) which we know isn't hard to do. You... More
