I can't believe it's taken me almost a year to write this review - but better late than never. My stay at the Royal Street Courtyard last June was everything I hoped and dreamed it would be. I had joked with Phillip before I got there that I had never seen so many positive reviews on TripAdvisor and would I... more

I spent ages pouring over B&B's on trip advisor and visiting websites and became totally confused. In the end I chose this one and hoped for the best and the best, luckily is what I got. David and Phillip are very friendly, helpful and, well, lovely. I travelled alone and despite the warnings to take taxis home at night, I... more

We really enjoyed the Royal Street Courtyard with its antebellum charm (built in 1850) with original pine floors that are a work of art in and of themselves. Nice owners with good suggestions (but Adolphos was closed when we tried to go, now we must go back!) such as the yummy & cool Cake Cafe, Feelings, and Coops (with a... more

I'm in agreement with everyone here - David and Philip are excellent hosts, the house is gorgeous and in a perfect location (right by Frenchmen St. All the action is nearby but it's quiet, which was a concern for my light-sleeping hubby). We actually had the smallest room, which is indeed small but perfectly sufficient and nice and answered to... more

When we booked this we wondered what the catch was - the cost seemed awfully reasonable for all the positive reviews. Well, there wasn't any catch. For being one of the least expensive accomodations near the French Quarter it really does have pretty much everything you need. The rooms are lovely and comfortable, the hosts are friendly and knowledgable enough... more

My family stayed at the Royal St Courtyard for three nights before a cruise out of New Orleans. We had a wonderful time. Philip is such a great host! He makes sure you know your way around the B&B, as well as New Orleans. So easy to deal with, friendly and extremely helpful. Plus his restaurant recommendations were outstanding. Coop's... more

An important part of our travel is about finding a good meal (and drink) somewhere. Our host gave us excellent suggestions in this regard. Of course, he also gave us a very good overview of the city and how to navigate it. All in all, his advice has added a great deal to our enjoyment of the city, and that... more

What a wonderful B&B, my second visit to this B&B in New Orleans. The Inn is a beautiful and spectacular period building not far from the French Quarter and near the river and the French Market. There are local stores, cafes and restaurants as well, so it was so convenient. The Innkeepers Phillip and David were so friendly and helpful... more

If you haven't seen New Orleans, you haven't seen the US. And if you haven't stayed with Philip and David, you haven't been to New Orleans. more

this was my second stay at Royal Street in less than 4 months. It was perfect the first time but somehow it just keeps getting better. I went with my girlfriends from Chicago for a short weekend and we loved it. As always, Phillip and David go above and beyond to make your trip wonderful. It was easy to get... more
