If you happen to be on an extended stay in downtown New Orleans you can't go wrong with this hotel. But if your stay is less than 1 work week there are more options you may want to consider. The hotel was adequate rooms were spacious and clean for our group of 6 girlfriends 35+ in age - we had a two bedroom suite, the kitchen was convenient for beverages and warming up leftover (doggiebags) etc. - there was a small balcony off the king bedroom but no view - the side of a buiding and the parking lot... more

The positives: An excellent downtown location for business travelers and just fine for leisure travel, just a 10-minute walk to the French Quarter and the Riverfront. Homewood suites was a good choice. The staff was very friendly, location was perfect for a family 10 mins. walk to the quarter and 15 to 20 min. walk to the river or warehouse district.
