We just came home from a great stay at the Rathbone. We stayed in the main house with the pool and dining area. We will be returning. The house itself has a lot of character. It is a little rough around the edges but it is clean and comfortable. By rough around the edges, I mean it could use a... More

I am in love with the city of New Orleans and have been staying all over town to find a hotel to meet my needs. After i stayed at Rathbone Mansions, I think I may have finally found one!! We have stayed there twice in the last three months and have a room booked for Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest.... More

We originally planned on spending three nights, but loved it so much ended up staying ten nights. The room was nicely appointed with a huge four poster king sized bed, plus fridge and small microwave. It's a beautiful old mansion, I just loved the quirkiness of the old building. We never had an issue parking the car. The mansion is... More

We came to town for the sugar bowl and enjoyed our time at the Rathbone Mansions. We were concerned about the limited parking but parking on the street was no problem. The room was spacious and clean. The hot tub was great. We enjoyed breakfast, plenty to choose from and there is a daily hot treat. I even tried the... More

I had a certain trepidation about our upcoming trip to New Orleans after reading some of the reviews of the Rathbone Mansions. Fortunately, everything turned out fine. The room was spacious, and we were actually upgraded to a two room with refrigerator, microwave and kitchenette area. I was worried about parking, especially during the Sugarbowl, but we never had a... More

12.10-12.13.2011: My husband and I visit NOLA every year and of all the places we stayed in - this was THE BEST CHOICE EVER!!! This is the 1st time we've ever brought a pet (Aiko) to any of our vacations and because of our experience here (stress-free); we know we will have no problem taking Aiko with us to NOLA.... More

We just spent 5 nights at the Rathbone Mansion over New Year`s and had a great experience. Pat the General Manager is awesome, booked taxi`s and tours whenever needed, printed out info on events and was fun and friendly. We stayed in a standard room which was quaint and decorated in New Orleans style, however, it was a bit small... More

We came and stayed for the sugar bowl. We opted for a b and over one of the larger hotels in the area. We loved our experience at rathbone and would stay again. The room was clean and recently remodeled. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Their is little parking but we were lucky enough to get in one... More

Our first impression-cats on the dining room table with the run of the breakfast area-not appetizing therefore we never ate there-the only thing truthful was old----dirty shower and entire bathroom needed cleaning and dusting-sheets would not stay on the bed-parking was not to be had looked like employees, if there were any,had the 5 available for two buildings--if you like... I assure you our reviews are from our guests. I will never understand why people who don't like animals stay at a pet friendly hotel, with that said we have certain rooms we allow pets in and you do need to contact us prior to booking to make sure a pet friendly room is available. The cats in question DO... More

I stayed here on the very first week of my travels in the USA; i explored every corner of New Orleans and staying at Rathbone was the cherry on the cake. I loved the location (2 blocks from French Quarter) so it was only a short walked to and from the mansion, my room was welcoming and comfy and the... More
