Great hotel, great location. Just outside the French Quarter. You can't go wrong staying here! Only a few steps to Bourbon Street and many of the fine restaurants in New Orleans. We stayed here four days and loved it.

I had stayed at another hotel down the street for a few years. I thought I would try the Hampton this year. There is not much to it, with a small communal area by the front desk. There are also 2 sofas at the base of the elevators, but the area is very busy and not a place to relax.... More

Very friendly and helpful staff, everything we asked for we received immediatly, curtiously, and exactly as promised. The room was great, no complaints. Breakfast was very nice, great location, quiet, you couldn't ask for much more.

The Hampton Inn Downtown was perfect for walking to many places of interest, both in the French Quarter and towards the arts district. The accommodations are excellent and roomy and include a satisfying breakfast. Though the food does not meet the New Orleans food standard, it is reliable, and the coffee is quite good. I have no complaints!
