This hotel had a great location on Canal. It's across the street from a Marriott so don't be confused. We got this on Priceline. The room was very good. The front desk and concierge were very accommodating. Although the bathroom is small, the actual shower is large. I had a pedicure in the spa here that was very good. We... More

Booked two rooms for a one night stay before a cruise. After initial mixup on the price of the second room being incorrect, the error was fixed immediately. They found us two corner rooms right next to each other so we could visit easily and sit in one room and still hear the one year old cry if she happened... More

A travel agent booked this room and the hotel is central to just about everything with the trolley stops either being on the corner for the Charles St trolley which takes you to Magazine St and the garden district of the Canal St trolley which takes you to the old French Quarter, the flea market, River Walk and Decauter. The... More

Hotel is in a great location but the customer service is poor. On our arrival date we had reservations at Shulas steakhouse ( located in the hotel ) unable to find a hostess to seat us after 20 minutes of standing around we left. One day asked the front desk to have our room cleaned while we want on a... More

We made a very last minute trip to come down to the Saints game. Our usual hotel was booked. We looked on Travelocity and found this hotel. We weren't really sure about it and had not remembered seeing it during one of our many trips down. Being as it was almost the only hotel room left in the city we... More

We stayed here for five days on Marriott Points as a platinum member with access to the executive lounge in room 1922. We were greeted professionally and friendly at the check in and check out. The bellmen there especially 'William" were so friendly and professional when we left I felt like he was an old friend. He gave recomendations on... More

Pros: Excellent location, great bellman and parking staff... Cons: Employees other than the bellman/parking staff not hospitable. Certainly not what I would consider 4-5 star service. So many good choices in New Orleans...probably would not choose this one again... More

I stay at Marriott properties all over the world and particularly enjoy a stay at a JW, being a premium brand of this hotel chain. Sadly, the JW in New Orelans is anything but premium. The reasons are many (I will list some..) but not major. However, the sum total produces in what in effect is product not up to... More
