From the moment you step in to this hotel, you're transported to another era, when the Kingfish, Huey Long, ruled Louisiana and made the Roosevelt his favorite hotel in New Orleans. The hotel has been beautifully restored to its former glory - from the grand lobby to the Sazerac bar. For the price, the suites are absolutely one of the... more

I thought this was one of the most gorgeous hotels I have ever stayed at. The renovations are a show-stopper - the lobby and all the public areas are meticulous. To the people who said it is no more than a dressed up hilton or holiday inn - i strongly disagree. The appointments and accessories are all very luxe and... more

I’ve just returned from a three-night/four-day stay at the Roosevelt. And while there were some significant areas for improvement, I feel that some of the previous negative reviews are complete hyperbole. The Roosevelt is a beautiful hotel. The public spaces are no less than stunning. The rooms were beautifully and comfortably furnished. The restaurants and bars we frequented lived up... more

We had such a fantastic time at the Roosevelt. They really spent the time to pay attention to the details at this property. We stayed at one of the suites during our stay, which included a sitting area outside of our bedroom and a half bath. We stayed on the 14th floor, so there was no concern about any street... more

I wrote a review back in August about how beautiful this hotel is - but when I stayed here in October 2009 for my wedding (Waldorf Suite - Suites are SO worth it), I found how truly special it is. Unlike the vast majority of New Orleans hotels - it is modern and meticulously clean while maintaining its historic charm.... more

This hotel despite its grande name, is really just a dressed up Holiday Inn. Pretty much everything about it is sub-par. I spent 6 nights at this hotel (only due to conference going on) and will never go back. Here are some of my notes: ELEVATORS: hotel gone thru renovation, but they didn't update their elevators, as result guests end... more

I'm 48 years old, and have been going to New Orleans, off and on, since I was a child. The lobby is beautiful, but other than that . . . the valet had no idea what was what, all young kids, lost as snow geese in a cotton field. Our room had absolutely no soap of any kind, and it... more

My husband and I stayed here on 10/02/2009, we prepaid(Waldorf Astoria official site) ahead of time for " a deluxe Queen Room". There was a shower only in this room. Welcoming phone call from the hotel personnel asked us what we thought about the room. We complained the room with a shower only should not be categorized as a deluxe... more

The hotel is nice and clean. Cleaning is good and the TV is greeat. The only two things that was bad was that I can here literally everything that was said and happened in the next room. The alamclock rang in there one morning and I tried to turn off my own. The other thing was that the leftovers from... more

We spent 3 nights at the renovated and recently opened Roosevelt Hotel. The pluses: 1) Great staff from the door men, reception, conciierge, even the business office where we got our boarding passes for the flight home. 2) Very good location, less than one-half block off Canal Street and the French Quarter. 3) Sazerac Restautant and Bar in the hotel... more
