Visitng Madison for my daughter's birthday....this hotel is literally 1/2 block off of State Street. My daughter and her fiancee were able to park in the underground lot au gratis while we walked up to the square, had dinner, etc. The updated, vintage look is beautiful. Rooms are small....but when you're in Mad Town who plans on spending most of... More

I have been staying in this hotel for 30 years - going back to before its renovation. They spent a fortune in a refurbishing that took several years as they would close only a floor at a time. The rooms are a bit small as they did not knock down any walls, but the surfaces are all very nice -... More

This hotel was a great find. The location is perfect - right off State Street, a few minutes walk to downtown, campus, and Lake Mendota. The rooms are very cozy, the beds are very comfy, though the bathroom was tiny. They also offer complimentary happy hour snacks (cheese curds, sausage, pretzel platter) and breakfast, though we decided to go out... More

If you are traveling to Madison, Wisconsin, you need to think twice before you book at the Campus Inn on Langdon Street. This is a hotel badly in need of renovation. It is a bit of a bait-n-switch: the lobby is charming, dark woods, pretty sofas, a lovely bar area. Unfortunately, the rooms are nothing like the lobby. We had... More

We appreciate hearing from our guests, and while I'm glad that this traveler found many things to like about our hotel, I'm concerned that their impression of their guest room did not live up to the expectation created by so many other positive reviews of our accommodations. I'm very glad that they that they found our service, lobby, lounge, and... More

After booking at the Holiday Inn, where I was quoted a rather outrageous price without even any breakfast included, we came across The Campus Inn through one of our colleagues. We cancelled our other reservation and are very pleased that we did. The Campus Inn has a cozy, intimate, and warm setting with lovely accents throughout, although the abundance of... More

I'm so glad this traveler had such an memorable visit, and I'm glad they enjoyed the Chancellor's Club, our appetizers and desserts, and other amenities. I will pass along to our staff how much their service was appreciated. We appreciate this guest's loyalty and are looking forward to their next visit with us. Bill Wellman General Manager More

I returned to the Madison area recently for a combined business and pleasure trip and stayed at the Campus Inn. Given the generic name, I didn't expect much but was I ever wrong. What a great hotel! The location was perfect and the facilities were fantastic. I asked the front desk for restaurant suggestions and they couldn't have been more... More

We really appreciate this very positive review - I'm glad this guest gave us an opportunity to challenge their expectations, based on their initial reaction to our our name. Our staff really enjoys assisting our guests with dining and other local advice and it was nice see how much this guest appreciated that. To the suggestion that we add room... More

I travel constantly for business which means I stay in hotels quite often. I have never met such a great hotel staff as I have at this hotel. They went above & beyond - especially Gianna, & Marcus. I needed copies made & since the copy stores Were closed Marcus more than happily helped me which I appreciated big time.... More

I'm actually writing this before the end of the trip. I have enjoyed the pre-paid transportation with a taxi company from the airport, and expect the return to be equally good. Breakfast has been adequate, the room is very comfortable, with good television and free wireless internet in the room. My request for firmer pillows was filled easily. So far... More

I stayed at the Campus Inn for a board meeting in July, and the experience was wonderful. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the beds are heavenly--I only wish I had had a reason to stay an extra night! The Inn is literally a stone's throw from State Street, so we went dining and shopping after our meeting. Once we got... More
