Well worth all the raves - I loved it and will be back (but of course I have comments). I'm going to focus only on BREAKFAST and THE GYM (to not repeat other reviews): 1) breakfast: is fascinating, a highlight of the day and really takes you places no hotel breakfast has ever taken you before. You are a long... More

In my opinion at least. My wife would not necessarily agree and I'll come onto that in a minute. For me, it's probably in the top 3 hotels I've ever stayed in. The concept is very much geared towards a health retreat where you go to relax, recuperate, and if you want to you can go for endless treatments and... More

My partner and I were in desperate need of rest and wellness after a hectic and stressful year. We stayed 4 nights at the Como and wished we booked 7 nights. The gardens were incredible. Tended to by hand which was amazing. When we arrived my partner had terrible sunburn from our stay in Seminyak. The very kind staff took... More

The room are OK for its price tag. Food is really good. Estate itself is the best part of it – large, beautiful, daily hand-manicured by dozens of people. However I do NOT recommend Como for real spa junkies, ie people who go for spa programs and experiences. The spa menu is short. The group classes are limited. Most strange... More

I got in late after midnight & didn't get to see the estate til the morning.   Wow what a beautiful place to wake up to, I am a Bali regular but waking up in Como with the chorus from the  forest, the morning sun that gives the entire property & the lush vegetation an ethereal glow, ending the days... I am traveling with a friend, but she had to leave earlier then expected, so I have to spend the last couple of days by myself, which is alright, but I would have liked a quiet night and booked direct at the hotel by telephone. (I have also stayed i.e. at the Bulgari Resort Bali and The Alila Villas Bali... More

Dear Lucinda C, Thank you for your review on TripAdvisor. I know how frustrating it was that day to try and get out of Kuta. We truly did try our very best to get cars into Kuta to collect you and bring you up to COMO Shambhala Estate. Unfortunately, the reservationist who you telephoned on December 31st was not aware... This is a great hotel, with facilities, rooms, treatments and kitchen to match. However, I went there for a cleansing program that as later discovered, is not an integrated monitored program as advertised. They do have individual services that are available, such as lymphatic drainage massage, unassisted colonic hydrotherapy, and healthy foods that are available, but there is no "program"... More

I am delighted to read that you were satisfied with The Estate's, accommodations, facilities, treatments and cuisine . In one word - GORGEOUS. Check in was smooth, service non-intrusive and impeccable. We booked directly with the hotel, and their responses were very prompt and helpful. Our butler Dhika was so very pleasant to talk to, it is a great concept to assign a personal butler to each guest. We had asked for a terrace suite in the Japanese-themed... More

Resort, food, treatments, accommodation , personal assistant, activities were without question all superb. One warning though. If you are unfit or have any problems walking or climbing stairs then remember to request a room close by all the main amenties. This property is very spread out and has a lot of steps More
