Note: I was part of a tour group, so I didn't have to locate the place or drive around the area. I can tell you that the staff has a reputation for arrogance and indifference, though we were insulated from it by our tour leader and I didn't. During our stay, the only people I saw were our group and... More

1st of all its NOT in Alleppey but a good 30km away from the main town..after going through what seemed like a neverending drive, one needs to enter the narrow, bumpy, village road which takes you to the resort...the entrance is not marked by any board or gate making it frustating to find. Once there the only thing lighting up... More

Ok this 'resort' is a bit tired, but it's location on the backwaters is glorious. I wouldn't recommend it for more than 1 night, as there's not much to do except relax and soak up the scenery. Cottages are comfortable with a veranda overlooking the river and a good enough bathroom. Staff were friendly and the food was very enjoyable.... More

Was a bit sceptical when I found out that this was a govt. run resort, but this place turned out to be a fantastic surprise! Resort is located astride the kayal (the backwater canals). The reception and the restaurant are on one side of the kayal and the rooms are on the other side. One has to cross over using... More

Place is very far from the main road, not a proper road.. The ride inside was very bumpy.. The resort was nice and serene, but too slow for our liking... I would recomend this place for a honeymoon for sure, as noone to disturb you, but for a family outing, I would not recommend it.. Even the guys at the... More

Stayed in this hotel for 1 day, and thankfully it was not more than that. The ambience and the look at the resort looks good at first sight but very soon the guest is jolted to reality by the totally un co-operative service staff and the lack of basic amenities. The resort is on an island which means that you... More

My husband and I stayed for one night in one of the bungalows in this hotel for one night in February 2011 at the end of a group tour of the region. The resort is set in a picture-perfect location in the Keralan backwaters surrounded by coconut palms, each bungalow looking out directy onto the water. The bungalows are actually... More

Stayed here as part of a tour. It is off the beaten track and frankly a bit basic, but with a certain charm (you need to get a boat to reception and the restaurant). It is geared to Indian honeymoon couples and tour groups. We enjoyed our buffet meal in the evening which was very good indeed. Overall it was... More
