“Budget hotel with basic amenities and good rooms..”

wanted to stay one night near the railway station, hence stayed here.. was looking for a budget place as we only needed to spend a few hours..

rates were very reasonable... remember to negotiate (as always)

rooms were clean and spacious.. in fact they exceeded expectations when we first saw them... bathrooms were clean...

very near to railway station, and the rickshaw stand is just about 50 mts from hotel entrance, so another plus point..

not a place to go on vacation ..or when in alleppey to visit the backwaters.... however, ok for busincess trips and in case u looking for something near the railway station for a night.. . More

“A Shiny New Place”

The place had just opened and it looked like it. The building is a very modern cube type design and everything in it was new and freshly painted.

The room I was in was bright and clean with a view of the main street. It came with a new TV, modern AC and overhead fan.

Their regular price reflects the standard of the room, however they were quite willing to haggle. I managed to get the room for a good discount including the free use of a bike while I was there (nice bonus).

The staff were young, friendly and helpful. I was pleasantly surprised that their tour prices were competitive and they had a very cheap laundry service.

Down sides…

The bathroom was not quite finished
It took some work to get the bike I was promised. But I got it.
Its at the far end of town from the main canal, however the town is small so this is only a 5 minuter walk. More
