This family-run business offers more than an affordable holiday. The owner/manager, Sindhu, goes out of her way to ensure that guests are comfortable and well looked after. The resort is not posh - there are children and roosters and lots of comings and goings. But the cottages are right on the water and you'll not get a better view of houseboats going up and down the waterway. If you opt for meals, they are delicious and home-cooked; tea or coffee is offered in the morning, afternoon and before bed - no cost. Sindhu teams up with Kerala Canoe Tourism's Binu Joseph to put together a backwater tour just for you that is unforgettable. You can take a houseboat for a day or a canoe for a few hours and just sit back and be amazed by life along the waterways - temples, toddy shacks, shops, community health centres, scenery that is beyond compare, and if you are lucky,maybe you'll pass a duck farm where, at that very moment all 2000 ducks will decide to descend on the water - a...
