A lovely warm welcome and staff who go the extra mile to look after you. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the sunset cruise, the food and the company. We stayed in both the cottage and in the main house - the main house was far more comfortable.

The situation of this property on the backwaters is just perfect but inside it is rather grubby - the rooms are OK, not sure about the outside shower room, and the dining/sitting area is completely underwhelming. Beautiful 125 year old original building, set in rice paddies on the banks of the Pamba river. Very helpful and friendly staff who will organise excursions for you. River bus to Alleppy stops almost outside the door. The food is excellent and the rooms are air conditioned. If you wanta good base to explore the region, this is it.
