My husband and I went to the Troy-Bumpas Inn for our 5yr wedding anniversary and loved it from the moment we stepped in to the moment we left. Larry and Judy greeted us when we arrived and we instantly felt welcomed. They do a wonderful job in putting the extra detail into things to make you feel like you have... More

Personal attention from the innkeepers, Judy and Larry Horn, adds to the experience of this charming 3-room inn. The accommodations are outstanding, well thought out (a towel warmer and heater to take off the chill in the bathroom, fireplaces in each room, luxurious baths/showers, and a hair dryer in an area separate from the sink) and in tip-top condition, with... My children and I were visiting Greensboro North Carolina. I left it up to my daughter to find the accommodation. She outdid herself, she found a wonderful bed and breakfast Troy Bumpas. Troy Bumpers is managed by Judy and Larry Horn. Normally I am not a big breakfast eater but the breakfasts were so delicious I couldn’t resist. They made... More

We stayed at the inn on Thanksgiving eve. It's over 150 years old and stately. I loved the antiques and beautiful guest rooms--each with their own "personalities." The fascinating history of the Troy and Bumpas families in photos and print added to the B&B experience. The inn is so solidly built that you can come and go, play music, use... More

We stayed here 3 nights while in town for the ACC tournament. The inn is close to the coliseum as well as several good restaurants. it's in a quiet neighborhood that is safe to walk in. The inn is immaculate and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious. They even figured out I was vegetarian and made my breakfast special each day.... More

We recently stayed at the Troy Bumpas for one night. It was our first b&b experience and we had a wonderful time. Everything was immaculate and beautiful. We stayed in the Nina room and loved the double bath with a whirlpool most of all- I would highly recommend the room for a romantic getaway. The Troy Bumpas has a sense... More

B&B's once caused me to hesitate due to privacy, security, food, and location issues, but this place completely changed my mind. The room was beautiful, as was the entire property and neighborhood. The staff was helpful and welcoming; the pooches were, too. The menu was great. If I ever return to the area, I'm definitely trying for the Troy-Bumpas again.... More

This is only the second time I've stayed at a B&B, preferring some of the anonymity of a hotel atmosphere since I travel quite a bit. However, this place has changed my mind. I absolutely loved it! I needed a hotel within walking distance to UC-Greensboro so did a search online and looked at many options. This one was perfect,... More

As other reviewers have said it is GORGEOUS. It just did not have the friendly atmosphere of other B&B's we stayed on on this trip. There are a lot of rules which are stated as soon as you get there: no red wine in rooms, don't wipe makeup off with towels, be at breakfast promptly or it will be removed... More

During fall break I took my son to NC to visit colleges. Wanting to get a feel for the city environment near ELON University, we booked one night in Andrea's Troy Bumpas Inn near downtown Greensboro. We were thrilled with our third floor suite - two bedrooms with a shared bath. The home is probably Civil War era and has... More
