I have been coming to Gatlinburg for more than 25 years. My family had never stayed here and didn't even really know it was there until 2009. Holy cow what a great place we were missing! The Bales are some of the greatest folks we have ever known in TN. Bill is always smiling and goes above and beyond to... More

All things considered, this is one of the best value places I have stayed in, anywhere in the world. You cannot get better than this, at this price. The people who run the place go out of their way to be warm and painstakingly accommodating. The gentleman at the reception took pains to allot us a room that was the... More

I have been going to Gatlinburg for a long time, but I had never stayed at this hotel. I belive this family owned hotel may be the best value in Gatlinburg. It is located only a short walk to downtown. They have rather large rooms with three beds. The downside is that the hotel is a little older, not the... More

We chose to stay here because of the location and price. It was a good choice. There are a few conveniences not available to you, but overall, it was good (e.g. no coffee maker in room). The price would be hard to beat. More

Clean, straight from the 90s with tile bathroom walls, but nice to be able to walk from here to the city. Basketball net outside. More

My girlfriend and I stayed 2 nights and had a blast. Very private, very economical and very clean. We recommend the King bed with Whirlpool! Close enough to walk and far enough for quiet time! We loved the pool all to ourselves! Felt right at home, and we will be back! More

Stayed three nights while photographing the Smokies. The size of the room was fine and it was clean but the room seemed a bit worn. The room was economical and located close to where I was shooting. I was gone before sunrise, napped in the afternoon and was out until well past sunset. The owners were as nice as they... More

I'm a research hound, so when I plan to stay at a motel/hotel/hostel/anything of the sort, I read reviews so I know what I'm getting into. For $50/night on Friday and Saturday and $35/night the rest of the time, this place is a steal!!! It's less than some hostels I've stayed in overseas. It's off the main street and therefore... More

We wanted a clean room near the Parkway and that is exactly what Bales provided. The motel is old and shows its age in places, but the room was large and clean. Location was the best amenity, as it was only a five minute easy walk to the Village. More
