We spent Christmas week of 2011 at the Rugby Gardens B and B. Location is great for us since we have family living in the immediate vicinity. Innkeeper is very helpful with information re: transportation, restaurants, and entertainment. Third floor accomodations were quiet and comfortable for us. We recommend the lodging at Rugby Gardens to those visiting the area. More

RUGBY GARDENS is a wonderful bed and breakfast. The house is a beautiful well maintained Victorian that is situated on a quiet tree lined street. It is within walking distance to high end shops and restaurants. The hosts are extremely helpful and offer a delicious breakfast for their guests. The bedrooms are on the third floor and offer privacy and... More

The location is great--very close to the subway and a bunch of good places to eat. The house itself is a great older place, maintained like new. Sue and Michael were great hosts, and we had a good time; easy coming and going, comfortable beds...the whole package. We recommend it strongly. More

Rugby Gardens is close to my son's apartment in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. The location is great--close to Cortelyou Rd, close to the subway, in a lovely neighborhood. Sue makes her guests feel at home and serves a magnificent breakfast. I'll be back! More

I stayed at Rugby Gardens while on business. Because I travel quite a bit, I decided to try a different experience, and that it was. Convenient and part of an interesting community, I enjoyed my walk each morning to the train station. I was there as the weather transitioned from jacket to coat and I will say that my third... More

It was a pleasure to arrive at Rugby Gardens after a long flight, to be greeted by Sue and her daughter. We instantly felt like we were staying with family. The home is charming, clean and comfortable and is situated on a quiet residential street, just a couple of blocks from great local restaurants, shops and the subway to Manhattan.... More

My partner and I had the pleasure to stay with Sue and Michael at Rugby Gardens in preparation for our transatlantic voyage on the Queen Mary 2. Not only is the house in a perfect and convenient location, but also the home itself is warm and inviting. The generous breakfasts in the morning created by Sue were no less than... More

I stayed at Rugby Gardens initially because it was in close proximity to where I was going for a party. I had no idea that there were bed and breakfasts like this within NYC. It is a charming house with nice period detail. The neighborhood is lovely with each house looking different. It is close to a shopping area with... More

This was our first stay at Rugby Gardens and certainly not our last. Great home, great hosts and a very convenient location for train access to the city. The city of Brooklyn also has some great restaurants to choose from, all within walking distance. A great alternative to the busy NYC scene. Would recommend to all. Thanks again Sue and... More

I have enjoyed my stays over the years, just always seem to forget to review for others. The why of enjoyment has to do with the people. Sue & Michael open their home with such joy. They share with guests their family (Ruby), their grace and wit, their stories and caring. It is very close to restaurants, stores, and subway.... More
