Jut got back from 9 day stay in this hotel. It is located in Brooklyn, but is in easy reach of Manhattan using the Subway which is 3 streets away and takes about 4 minutes to walk to. I purchased a $29 metro card, which gave me 7 days unlimited use of the subway - very handy. The hotel isn't... More

First of all, thanks to the honest reviewers. We chose the Sleep Inn Downtown Brooklyn based on the reviews we read on Tripadvisor prior to our trip. We wanted a budget friendly hotel on the outskirts of Manhattan and that's exactly what we got. The hotel is conveniently located, clean and run by a discreet friendly Indian family. We arrived... As I'm not a "hard to please" traveller, this hotel was a perfect choice for me. We had a non-smoking room with king bed. Bed was very comfortable and didn't creak. Breakfast was very good as well, plenty of food like eggs, sausages, milk&cereals, fresh waffles, juices, etc. One PC is located where the breakfast is served. Location is perfect,... More

i stayed there in sept 2010 for 4 days, it was a double bed room, a bit small as you have to get your way between the beds, but the decoration of thte room was modern and very pretty. the room was clean, and the bath room was big and comfortable, also with a nice , clean and modern decoration.... If you go to NYC and look for an affordable hotel with free parking, you're going to need to consider being outside Manhattan... This hotel is located close to some free parking on the street or under the highway structure (hotel has 8 parking spots located on the hotel lot, but those seem to always be taken, unless you check-in... I stayed one night at this hotel and had a bad experience from the start. As I was walking to the hotel, I passed by two funeral homes. The hotel was in the middle of no where in an unsafe neighborhood. The front desk attendant was welcoming. When I went up to my room their were used towels in the... More

My spouse and I, and our friends stayed at this great hotel for 2 nights. It is situated on a fairly quiet residential street and is suitable for travellers who like to blend in with the locals. You will have to use subway, which is only a few blocks away from the hotel, to get to Manhattan and other sites... More

Thanks to the reviewers on TripAdivsor, I made another sound decision and went with this hotel. Now let me remind you as I had stated in another review, I like simplicity, and don't pay much attention to the little details...there was only a few minor things that would probably send the bourgeois folks over the edge, so I'll get those... First off. I stayed because of the price. If the price is always the same I shall not lie if the price is that good again I would stay again. But I was a bit bamboozled. Now I used to live in bk. I moved in Oct 2011. I stayed here in march 2012. I kno what downtown Brooklyn is... More
