The hotel is 20 minutes from the Amtrak station; easy to find. Excellent location in that it is 1/2 block from the Inner Harbor area which has wonderful attractions. We stayed at the Intercontinental for a cheer competition and were extremely happy with our accommodations! The rooms were very spacious and nicely decorated. Customer service couldn't have been better! Love the location - across from inner harbor and two blocks from convention center. Everyone was very friendly and accomodating. Poor, smu service at the restaurant and Explorer Lounge. Some staff committed to hospitality, but inconsistant. Cafe servers can be rude. When mentioned, management was unresponsive, put the problem on me, suggesting no other problems with others.
