I like historic hotels so this one was great for me. Clean room. Night person not rude but very matter of fact. The girl at the desk in the morning was friendly. Oddly, there was no heat. I assume they shut it off that time of year because there is a thermostat for ac and heat.

My husband and I and our four boys(under age 13) stayed for a three day weekend over Labor Day 2012 for the Baltimore Grand Prix. For the value this hotel is great including a decent breakfast, near by parking(pay per day), and a short walk to the Inner Harbor. The neighborhood was so so. we were not out past dark... More

For the second year in a row, I stayed at the Mt. Vernon Hotel for a convention. The convention center is a 15 minute walk. It was raining on two mornings, so I took taxis which are plentiful and I only had to wait a minute or two before one came by. The room was older but in good condition.... More

Staff were extremely rude, the room was filthy, towels were dirty and when we called to the front desk to complain she told us that we had to come down to get the towels ourselves and they would not bring them to us. The entire hotel is extremely outdated. They do not even have toilet seats, you cannot adjust the... More

I love historic hotels and know not to expect modern conveniences. This hotel could be so fantastic with some basic upgrades. With three single women travelling I asked the reservationist for "the best option, with the most space", she recommended the loft. Sounded great, so for almost 50.00 extra per night we booked the room. HUGE Mistake. The loft was... More

We stayed here for two nights. The free wi fi was not working first night, we were told it would be fixed next day. I the end we had to change rooms as it wouldn't work on that floor. Breakfast was no great , and the wrist thing being plastic utensils , try cutting bacon with a plastic fork and... More

My boyfriend & I decided to stay in Baltimore to visit friends from college who live nearby, We stayed one night, 4/20-4/21. And let me say that for the price we paid, this hotel was perfect. I was afraid for parking, but it wasn't too bad, only $4 on weekends!!! Although it was across the street, so what? We parked... More

We loved the location-Mt Vernon is wonderful part of town with plenty of night life, art, architecture. Traveling was easy and public transport very close. Always felt safe. No problem with any bugs; the husband did his thorough inspection and found nothing. Water was plenty hot, even at the end of the showers. Baltimore is a great place to visit-great... More

Nothing special here, good if your staying a night for a Orioles game but nothing more. The hotel rooms have a funk kind of smell to it. Parking garage is small and not convient for bigger vehicles . However the breakfast was surprisingly good, real eggs bacon and french toast was rather nice, normally your free breakfasts are not to... More

My husband and I stayed at this hotel and had the worst experience imaginable. The hotel itself is old, tired, run down, smelly and the tv's don't work well and are from the 90's. But this was not why our experience was so horrific. We were on the 2nd floor and were in our room enjoying some intimacy when all... More
