Excellent views, great room, very accomaditing staff;all you need for a great stay in Astoria. Right on the walking/biking trail, close to Ft Stevens, Ft Clatsop and Cape Disappointment. Rooms are older, but re-done, beds super comfortable and very very clean. Every room has a balconey view of the harbor and mouth of the Columbia River.

I can't begin explain what a let down this hotel was. We came with high hopes and ended up bailing on our second night despite being told we couldn't get a refund. The room was so stuffy and stale and the air conditioner/fan wasn't functional. Bad timing with unseasonably warm weather. Our room was like a smelly sauna. Not dirty,... More

This hotel offers a lot of amenities, free bike rental, breakfast, free DVD rental, rooms had microwave and refrigerator. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was close to other restaurants and a boardwalk. They even have family rooms with bunk beds, flat screen TVs, and game cubes (no games for the game cube though...). The hotel itself... More

General: Thanks to a travel deal, the rate was pretty good -- about half the normal rate. Had we paid full rate, we would have not stayed. This place is going through renovation, about 5 to 10 years too late. Our room had the sliding door locked closed because of the missing deck. If you did go out it, you... More

Pro's: Nice view of the marina and of the bridge. They had a flatscreen TV and DVD player - and complimentary DVDs to borrow at the front desk - and recent, decent movies (from my perspective, your mileage may vary). The water pressure and hot water were just *lovely*. They had added a small fridge and microwave. I don't know... More

This hotel gives you a decent suite for a fair price. My suite was spacious, clean, quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was not so good, so do not count on it and have breakfast in another place. The hotel offers an amazing view of the water and marina, and offers free bikes for guests to visit around. The area... More

The room was very large with microwave, fridge flat screen tv, desk dresser, table and three nice chairs. The bed was very very comfortable! Very clean as well. They could... More

Worst sleep of my life, people upstairs were so loud and the walls are so thin... It is a motel that is by no means fancy at all and I will not ever return. I felt gross just staying here and when I turned on the shower the water was brown.

Brad Smithart is the owner of this hotel, and if you get the chance to meet him, which you probably will since he loves to introduce himself to his guests, you will instantly see why this place feels so warm and welcoming. But enough of that, lets get on to the rooms and overall stay experience... The beds, oohh the... More

So glad someone is rescuing this property! Basic but very clean room with some older furniture but new carpet and paint. Very comfy and clean with a lovely view if the river and Megler bridge. Nice large TV, and fridge. Very nice breakfast service though it got too crowded and the staff and guests were overwhelmed....guests got cranky and stole... More
