Not too many choices in Astoria. This older motel is by the river and supposedly has been updated but we found the furniture to be worn and the bathroom to be very dated. No hairdryers was a real suprise. The breakfast consisted of sweet rolls and coffee but there is a McDonalds near by. More

I live in Portland, Or and fish every year there at least three times and this year I made reservations in June which were confirmed and in mid July someone from the motel called and said the rate for Friday was increased by $50 because there was a regatta on the weekend they could rent the room for much more.... Stayed one night here in order to catch a ride up river with the Rose Festival Fleet in the morning. Excellent little motel with great views of the river for those rooms with windows facing north. Room was perfect--clean, comfortable, and the price was affordable. I would not hesitate to stay here again. More

Speedy reservation service combined online ease, clear email & cheerful phone contact actually at the motel. Traveling solo, I'm picky about things like room location and outdoor lighting, so I appreciated being able to speak with customer service who knew the unit.
