We have stayed at the Days Inn at Grants on previous trips to California. Grants is a good overnight stop on the way from Texas. The room was not much better than the nearby Motel 6, but the price for the Days Inn was considerably higher. The Days Inn did not have a swimming pool, which the Motel 6 did.... more
I made a confirmed reservation at this motel prior to leaving home. I arrived at property about 6:30 p.m. the night of reservation only to be told that they had "given away" my reserved smoking room. Clerk suggested that I could stand outside and smoke because every room opened to outdoors. It was 30 degrees out with a wind chill... more
