The Union League is an exceptional club with a terrific history and outstanding location. For overnight guests I would recommend you stay in a traditional hotel as you will probably be a bit more comfortable. I stayed because of a luncheon and speech at the League and was very well received, taken care of, and fed. Oh yeah...make sure you... More

The majority of the staff were rude. They made guests feel as if they were not welcome because they are not actually members of the League. The dress-code is ridiculous. The people that I encountered that were members seemed to think very highly of themselves. The walls in the room must have been as thin as paper because I could... More

Though I'm not a member, I've been a guest on many occasions for functions and meals. As mentioned in my title, this place exudes old English charm and the hospitality is next to none. The food and the service is exquisite. You will certainly not be disappointed by your visit here. More

This place screams class. Old school, classic motif with paintings and sculptures of US Presidents and historical events. Jackets necessary at all times. No jeans. All the reviews are pretty accurate so read closely, but here's some other stuff to know- Great breakfast, included in price of room. Omelet station, Belgian waffle station (Best Belgian waffle I ever had), normal... More

The elegance of Philadelphia starts at the Union League. I remember late night snacks at the Library Louge and Holiday Brunches with family. Everyone looked their best and the service was impeccable. I'll stop in the next time I'm in town. More

We stay at The Inn at The Union League whever we're in Philadelphia. It is an elegant place to stay, to drink and to dine, with a calm, old-fashioned dignity to it. Those who are put off by the dress code etc., should consider staying at the Holiday Inn Express. For my family and me, asking people to dress smartly... More

We had three parties of two staying here for a wedding taking place a block away at the Hyatt. Great location (especially close to the wedding we were attending) and all the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The hotel and the club is gorgeous. Each of our three rooms was different, which is part of what I like... More

Stayed a number of times on business. What a place the Union League is, but unfortunately I don't mean that in a good way. I stayed at the Union League on more than one occasion for a week at a time, whilst on business in Philly(my company booked us in there, I didn't have a choice). Quite simply - I've... More

I often stay at the Inn at the Union league as a reciprocal club member. Location, Location, Location in Center City Philadelphia is perfect. The club is easy to find at Broad and Sansom Streets and I found the Staff welcoming yet reserved and the rooms are whisper quiet. Complimentary ear plugs are supplied to each guest, yet I found...
