This is an all suite hotel. The rooms are spacious with a fully equipped kitchenette, we had a balcony overlooking Mammoth Mountain. Everyone was very helpful and friendly and we extended our stay for a day because we enjoyed it so much.

Stayed at the Westin Mammoth Lakes after cruising over the Tioga Pass from Yosemite. Wanted to spend day checking out Mono Lake. The Westin Mammoth is 30 miles from Mono Lake. Sitting in a perfect location. The rooms are all suites. Plush beds as usual with amazing showers and small kitchenettes in each room. Located directly across from the Gondola... More

Being my first trip to Mammoth, I was excited to stay at this beautiful resort that was in the perfect location with a beautiful view from my room. It was perfect for skiing, directly across from the gondola, ski rentals, and The Village. The room was very nice and the bar in the hotel was convenient. So here are the... More

I stay at this hotel at least once a year and have always had a good experience. The location is prime and if you want to stay in a higher end hotel in Mammoth Lakes, this is it. The service is country strong; which means very nice, responsive but not moving at the pace of a city hotel (which is... More

Have stayed here several times mostly in their two bedroom suite with family. Always pleased with accomodations and service. We hear that the restaurant has improved. It's definitely the best hotel in Mammoth.

Month of Arrival:April 2013 Disappointed in SPG Platinum Recognition: Recently stayed for a quick 2 night stay. At check-in, asked if upgrade was available. I was advised that upgrades only available for a $100 fee per night. I was shocked (and offended) as 1st time a Westin has tried to charge me for an upgrade - I've been SPG platinum... More

To be short: Pros: -The pool is a.m.a.z.i.n.g. I hate cold water, so slipping into a pool that felt like luke warm bath water when it was 45 degrees outside was awesome. -Everything is at your fingertips. There is a ski rental (run by Mammoth Mountain, not the hotel) in the hotel. You can rent skis and buy your lift... More

CONS: 1. The pool/jacuzzi hours END at 10 p.m. At 11:30 p.m. we had to call to report A LOT of noise and drunks keeping us up from the pool areas-right below our rooms. Please CLOSE the pool and jacuzzi at 10 p.m. as those are the hours! There was a couple that was getting WAY too intimate in the... More

If you want to stay well in Mammoth, then just stay here. The location is great as you have the gondola straight outside the door to take you up to Canyon Lodge, the rooms are plenty big enough for a family, and the outdoor pool is great, if a little warm for serious swimmers!! Saying that, after a days skiing,... More

We are starwood preferred, so had a wonderful champagne welcome on arrival. Much needed after 6 hours in a car with kids, haha!!! The room was nice, had a one bedroom. Could have designed it to be just slightly larger. Nice fireplace and balcony where we could overlook the gondola.only problem is we're were only on seco d floor and... More
