The worst Hampton we have ever stayed in. I'm a native Floridian and was getting married during the weekend and they gave me the wrong rate put me in the worst room. I'm a Hilton Gold-member. I had eight other folks staying in rooms there that were satisfactory. I don’t understand what happened with our room. Our room was a closet. The experience was truly horrific, we didn't even have a Refrigerator in my room which I had requested so I could keep a small part of the wedding cake in there overnight. That said, most of the staff was really great, but they have no authority to help you out if the room is not satisfactory. One shocking part was I saw staff member called Rebecca become very rude and tell a military member that they didn't appreciate military staying there and I'm retired military myself so I noted that. I will be writing a letter to Hilton about the management of this property. We were beyond disappointed- I’m a frequent traveler that travels about 16 weeks a year for work so you can imagine that this was the hotel that we had a bad experience with on my wedding weekend. Brides - exercise caution!

Thank you for taking the time to share your response regarding your recent stay with us. Our rooms are standard hotel sized rooms and all our rooms offer a closet as well. If staying in a standard room with no mini-refrigerator or microwave, we will happily provide a set upon request. We did send out a confirmation of your reservation; was the rate incorrect on your confirmation? Were you able to reach out to us directly to discuss your concerns? Our entire staff appreciates our military brothers and sisters; the hotel also has several team members that are retired military, and we as a team respect and appreciate each other, no matter what background we may have. We do hope to have another chance to provide a more positive experience to you in the future.

I had an issue with points and my reservation, the front desk staff, Karen, Jordan, and the Manger Spurten, took their time and were very helpful in resolving my issues. The property itself has a n old Florida feel with classic wood and tapestries. In the middle of a qiuet downtown area, which made for a beautiful morning walk in a brisk Florida March. I would highly recommend this hotel if staying in the Bradenton Fl area.

I booked a room for 2 nights 3/4-3/6/2024. Beautiful property. I was going by around noon and stopped by to see if early check in. Very polite desk person apologized still doing rooms. No problem went on my way and used mobile app to confirm the room choice it offered I booked #720. Note this was after check out time at 11 am. I came back around 7-8 and tried to check into the room I was assigned on line. I was told my room was not available the party had extended their stay and room 212 was the only king available. Room 212 is at the top of the lobby staircase over the hotel entrance beside the elevators behind the hotel brightly lit sign. Is asked to speak to the manger and he was not available even though the desk person trie to wave him over. She got very rude then said I’ll be right back. I could see her talking to the man in suit who had walked away. I again asked for another room and was told take this room or I’ll cancel the reservation and call the police. I did or said nothing to precipitate this response. Having no choice I unhappily accepted the room. The manager who would not speak to me Spurgeron Nisbitt did not have the courtesy to follow up and communicate with me. Room 212 should be used for storage. Hopefully this will reach someone at IHG who cares and can right a wrong I you know there are plenty of you who take pride in your chain I am a 70 year old man who has never been threatened with the police

This is an absolutely gorgeous hotel, now run by the Hampton Inn but dating back to the 1920s. The lobby has elements from the original building, and they are fascinating. Guest rooms are clean and modern, large enough for my family of three. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast room is very pretty, and there is a nice assortment of food and beverage provided. Coffee and citrus water available midday. Front desk and support staff were all extremely friendly and kind! We definitely will return in the future!

The hotel was fine. We stayed one Friday night before heading to Anna Maria Island for our rental. The location was perfect. The room was a good size and it had a refrigerator. It smelled of the cleaning fluid, which unfortunately is not unusual for some hotels or motels. We were there Friday of President’s Day weekend and they were not shy about charging a lot but I get it: it’s a big holiday weekend. Parking was easy. We were fortunate enough to be find a space to park in front and the police station is across the street. The location is great: 2 blocks to the water where there are restaurants. Breakfast was what I expected: waffles, pancakes, toast ( white and less white bread). We were not expecting much.

Service was great and the atmosphere was very pleasant. Rooms were clean and well stocked with towels and extra pillows for the bed. While I was told there were no complaints, my internet was working on the 7th floor, who knows what was happening. I brought my hot spot, so I managed. Lastly, like every other hotel, no diet accommodation for lactose intolerant guests. Over

Pros: Great location, accommodating staff, reasonable rates, comfortable beds, solid free breakfast, historic building revitalized as a modern hotel. Cons: Not all rooms have refrigerators (you may have to ask for one), slow elevators, room lacked a sitting area. Walking into the lobby, it doesn't take a keen eye to see this isn't your typical Hampton Inn- some research revealed the building started life a century ago as the Manatee River Hotel. It features the amenities one is to expect of a modern property, but for me it was nice knowing there was some history to be appreciated. As is the case with Hampton Inns, there are comfortable beds and a good free breakfast. The staff I encountered was friendly and eager to make my stay a pleasant one.- this was especially true when I got to my room and discovered there was no refrigerator. I was told some rooms don't have them, although five minutes later one was brought to me. Speaking of, my room was a nice place to spend time, although it would have benefited from a chair for sitting and watching TV because my options were the desk chair, the bench at the foot of the bed, or the bed itself- none were ideal for kicking back at the end of the day. Located just a few blocks outside the heart of downtown Bradenton, the hotel was convenient to many of the things I needed/wanted to do in the area, and the price was reasonable compared to other properties that likely weren't as nice. I look forward to returning in the future.

Hotel was wonderful and in a great location! The staff was always very friendly and accommodating. Rooms were very nice, comfortable and clean. The breakfast display and selection of choices was outstanding. Chris Duke who was in charge of the menu and overseeing how things were run in the dining area was excellent. He always greeted us and was making sure everything was plentiful. He was also very conscientious about cleanliness. Would definitely return to this hotel!!
