Crater Lake Lodge is a pleasure not to be missed. The hotel itself, public spaces, room, setting, romance are each outstanding...each alone would make this hotel a rare find. All combined make this hotel a life experience not to be missed. Very elegant and sophisticated servcie and dining...food excellent...room wonderful. I saw someone complain there is no TV. It is... more

Crater Lake is a sublime experience. If you have the time, allow two or three days there, because the weather may surprise you! We arrived in brilliant sunshine with a mountain-top gale one day and then snow for two days. The experience of staying at Crater Lake Lodge is not to be missed: the Grand Hall with its huge fireplace... more

Stayed here on last night of the season, traveling in group of 5 couples- geologists. Like many national park lodges, this one oozed history and charm. The view through the small windows revealed one of the nation's great vistas, which more than offset the quaint little room with sloping ceiling, which caused one bumped head- beware. Staff was very helpful,... more

We stayed at Crater Lake Lodge and was happy to know that it had recently been remodeled in it's previous look and feel. We arrived in the mid afternoon and the weather was sunny and windy. We spent the afternoon seeing the lake and hiked down to the water on the only trail leading from the rim of the crater... more

If you have traveled to Crater Lake National Park, you know it is off the beaten path, that there are small communities within a few miles with accomodations to be had - but the park itself is so pristine, so contained, that if you truly want to experience the beauty and solitude of it, you should stay at Crater Lake... more

Stay here if you possibly can! Views from the lake side rooms are wonderful, the rooms are not fancy but very comfortable (no AC, but they have fans in the rooms). You can sit out on the main deck under the stars with blankets! Make reservations at the dining room, the food is excellent! Front desk staff are very helpful. more

My husband and I travel frequently and have stayed in every type of accomodation from high end to low end, depending on the situation. So, it is with this background info that I say that the pricey accomodations and food are - with out question - worth it. We stayed 3 nights in the Loft style room - according to... more

The building looks old but has been gutted & rebuilt. The lobby and exterior look like they did 90 years ago. The food is expensive but good. Our room was small but faced the lake. We did not have a shower in the claw foot bathtub because we arrived late. so call ahead if this will be a problem. no... more

This place is magical. Historic & majestic. We loved the combination of the beautiful views of Crater Lake (like nothing I had ever seen before) and the restaurant in the Lodge was just wonderful. Some of the best dining I have ever had in Central OR. Atmosphere historic & unique. Service attentive & friendly. We brought our own fab bottles... more

Crater Lake Lodge is one of those mandatory experiences. I've been to the park three times before but was never able to secure a room. Staying overnight really enables you really explore all the hikes, ranger talks, and other activities without feeling rushed. In regards to the few negative reviews, if you come here expecting a Westin or Hyatt, you... more
