The friendly greeting, the small but comfortable room have fallen by the wayside as I wait for the jack hammers to cease. Boy, after reading these other reviews, I cannot believe this is actually the same hotel we just stayed it. From the bellman to the front desk, we were treated very professionally. While this hotel could use some updating, it is in a perfect location in Midtown Manhatten, close to Times Square, the UN, and Grand Central Station. The staff are friendly and helpful, something you do not always get at hotels in New York! Rates are reasonable, food is good, and rooms are comfortable and clean. more
