The location can't be beat -- 3 subway lines within a block, close to theaters, up the block from TKTS and some great Irish pubs. The hotel is old, but clean and well maintained with small bathrooms, comfortable beds and very decent prices. I always feel safe when I'm at the Edison and can only conclude that it must be... More

The Edison is always reliably clean, comfortable and affordable - an amazing thing for such a great location in Midtown. I've stayed at the Edison around 10 times and it never disappoints. The staff is always welcoming and professional, and the place has great character and history. The cafe is legendary and one of the very few remaining spots of... More

Terrific place! location for shows is the best! Rooms a bit small, but who cares if you are going to be going to shows? Very comfortable king bed with nice linens- The Edison was a surprise to us, as we remember the days when this location was "iffy:. Walked to MOMA as well as to and from Grand Central, so... More

We did 6 nights here and went for it because we wanted the 1930's art deco feel, plus we got a good deal on an hotel slap bang on Time Square. The room was a little tired and in need of updating, but it was clean and comfortable and the bed was super comfy. The location was excellent. We literally... More

This hotel is located right in times square which makes a short trip to New York to see Broadway plays and shop easy. However the rooms are quite old and not in a way to preserve character. The worst part of the room is the windows, they are double hung windows that are probably about 30 years old and the... More

Stayed at the Edison for a four day break with family. The hotel has a real New York charm as the building is quite old and a bit tired in places. The rooms are not luxury and are a bit tatty in places but the location makes up for that. Location wise it is perfect, two minutes walk from Times... More

We stayed at the Edison Hotel in January, a kind staff( yes at the elevators if you don't show them your room key and just pass by, they ask for it in a not so cute way, but its for your safety), clean, nice lobby, and we got a recently upgraded room (very nice room for the price- no bedbugs,... Me and my sis in law stayed in this hotel for 4 night, we booked a twin room. For a location this hotel is great, out of the doors on 47th street, turn left and you are right on Times Square - wonderful! The room itself was ok, fairly basic and could do with a refresh of the paint etc... More

We stayed at the Edison for the first time from 31st January to 6th February and were delighted with our stay. We normally go cheap and cheerful and book in to Milford Plaza when in NY but decided to change to the Edison a week before our stay as we had the option of taking a suite for a little... More

I have stayed at the Edison Hotel for over 20 years; my most recent stay with some cousins was between Christmas and New Year's. We checked in Dec. 27 and checked out Jan 3. The staff behind the desk were quite courteous at check-in. Our room was ready when we arrived. (The sales/reservations staff had helped us out in an... More
