My husband and I stayed at the Roger for a week whilst in New York. Great location-midtown east, close enough for many things, but in a slightly quieter location and with a subway station around the block. The hotel itself was only okay - rooms were dark and small (which was to be expected as it is NYC!). My husband... More

We have just got back from a girls trip to NYC where we booked into the Roger hotel. I always find where to stay on Mr and Mrs Smith as they normally have good recommendations however this hotel was not up to standard. There was a lack of staff available on hand to open the hotel door for you (which... More

I booked this hotel, unnamed, on Hotwire for a specific price. The hotel added a $23.95 administrative charge once I got there. It looked like it had been renovated, but it the room was dark and small and definitely not sound-proofed - you could hear people's tv's, people walking above you, and doors slamming in the hall nonstop. There was... More

The redecorations are nice, but this remains a pretty draped hotel. Small room, small hallways, and little lifts make me feel claustophobic. But the location is good for midtown and it's quite classy, so if you can get a decent price, it's worth a stay.

This being our first holiday to NYC, our first week was spent in TIme Square. Our following 7 nights at the gorgeous Roger Hotel. Beautiful decor, warm, relaxed & elegant bar & reception area- toped off with a huge pink cherry blossom tree in the foyer which smelt like heaven! Our experience with staff was always professional- Elizabeth in particular... More

I have stayed at The Roger several times. My recent trip in May 2013 is the first since they have remodeled. I preferred the former, more unique, European look that The Roger had before the remodel. Now I would classify the rooms are "upscale generic." They have definitely been designed with male travelers in mind. The room was very masculine,... More

Spent a long weekend at The Roger this past March. Must be at least my 10th stay although it had been a while. While the new reno and decor is lovely, I'm not as keen on it as the colourful decor of yonder years. The hotel though continues to deliver when it comes to comfort, service and location. The buffet... More

After experiencing a brilliant stay in New York I ended my time at the roger paying exactly what I had worked out with charges, taxes and breakfast which was included in my price, I asked if that was everything as we had a pre paid card with dollars on to pay for the hotel, the answer was yes, to which... This June, The Roger is unveiling a sophisticated new look after extensive renovations of its public spaces and guest rooms. Standing at the crossroads of uptown and downtown off Madison Park, the new Roger is a marriage of chic design and old world comfort, while continuing an unyielding commitment to superior service. The fresh aesthetic of the Roger’s public spaces is curated by hospitality guru Steven Kamali and designed by the notable Anna Busta. A collaboration of renowned talent has distinguished a transitional hotel that caters to the demands of the modern traveler and local tastemakers alike. The vaulted lobby lounge provides an ideal space for any time of day or occasion, from morning business meetings to lunch with family, or catching up over cocktails with friends. To update the spacious guest rooms, the Roger tapped Annette Jaffe of MSM, whose timeless original design has kept travelers returning year after year. Jaffe’s new rooms are characterized by lush custom pieces and applied moldings to naturally compliment the historic building’s unique rooms and inviting terraces.
