This visit to NY I tried the Roger Smith Hotel and was very pleased with all things internal to the hotel, not to mention extraordinary low rates. From start to finish, the customer service at the Rogers Smith Hotel was fantastic. Friendly and helpful, the staff went above and beyond for us. The flip side, I suppose, is that in order for that to happen there had to be problems to solve: - Our initial room had an extremely loud heater which literally kept us up all night on our first night (we were then transferred to a suite, which was fabulous).... more

Full disclosure: I spend a lot of time with friends at the bar and in the restaurant (Lily's) at the Roger Smith Hotel. Stayed here on December 18th for 1 night before embarking on a cruise. Check in was fine, struggled to get the room key to work so a nice lady appeared and opened the door for us. Our family booked four suites for the Christmas Holiday. The rooms were spacious and a welcome treat from the little 5x5 rooms that you get in the so called luxury hotels. The location is excellent. I reserved 2 suites, both had a living room, one with a fireplace. The beds were very comfortable with nice sheets and comforters. The bathrooms were very clean with nice quality towels. The little kitchenettes were perfect for our needs. The location of the hotel made it easy for us to walk to many places we wanted to visit. more
