Took my wife Hazel to the Ivy Terrace for a surprise birthday treat and James, Louise and Nathan came along to add to the surprise. We have stayed in New York hotels before but this is a far better way to enjoy the city. The location was excellent - a short stroll from 5th Avenue and Central Park - 5... more

As a first timer to New York I found this place perfect. My wife and I spent our honeymoon there and couldn't have been happier. It is like having a studio of your own and it's close to the subway and the park. It was particularly nice to not have to deal with a hotel. For anyone interested in experiencing... more

This was our second stay at the Ivy Terrace and once again it was just fabulous. Enough has been written about the atmosphere, convenient location etc. but to us, it just felt like we had come 'home' to our place in Manhattan. Once again we stayed in the Greenwich Room with its great furnishings etc. and Vinessa and Jeff''s courtesy... more

While searching for suitable accomodations for our visit to New York City, I typed in "B&B" and was surprised to find The Ivy Terrace, right in a great Midtown location. We had never stayed at an "un-hosted B&B", and the only thing we missed was being able to meet our fellow travelers (people staying at the Ivy Terrace) and socialize... more

We stayed for 8 nights and the location was perfect as we walked to Central Park and so therfore all around ! We were on the 3rd floor in the Victoria suite and with no lift as had been said, make sure you are ok with all the stairs. The breakfast provided was fantastic, cereal, great OJ, yoghurt, bagels and... more

After reviewing the B&B section of TripAdvisor we decided to stay here, and we made a good choice. Staying at the Ivy Terrace is like staying in your own New York apartment. We stayed in the Ivy Room and were rewarded with a private terrace on which we watched the world go by. The room had a sleigh bed which... more

Tired of big high-rise hotels? Then why not try this little gem tucked away on E.58th St? Just five rooms on three floors and with twice the space you'd have in any smart, expensive hotel. We stayed in the Greenwich Room on the second floor, front. Its double-glazed so most of the outside noise is lost but its still great... more

The Ivy Terrace is an amazing jewel on the upper east side of nyc! Clean, elegantly furnished, but not overdone - it felt as if i was coming home every evening! It was simply lovely and so very roomy! I truly felt as if I was in a beautiful home. The fridge was stocked with healthy breakfast items! I was... more

My daughter was attending a course and Ivy Terrace is within walking distance from the venue. It was very comfortable and central for this as well as sightseeing and shopping. Having a kitchenette also proved wonderfull for a late night cup of tea and light breakfast. more

Ivy Terrace is a complete gem that we are so happy to have found. We stayed four nights in the Victoria Suite which was just super. A lovely spacious studio with a wooden sleigh bed and more cushions than I have ever seen in my life on the bed! It was just so comfortable, like a home from home. We... more
