Wonderful staff, horrible place. Dingy, filthy, moldy, musty. Every hallway smells, laundry area reeks. Do not stay here if you haven't had a tetanus shot. Outdated furniture. Spend the money somewhere else to get a clean place. What a sham. Shame on them for letting this place go.

We stayed here for a week in February 2012. Price was great, value for money was remarkable! Our suite was sizable, clean and stylish. We even had some friends staying for a night over at the suite with us, and it still didn't feel too small. Only negative issue is the breakfast, which is not too great.

I agree with the previous review so reused the headline. I was initially unenthusiastic about the location but it is very close to Grand Central (not to mention Grand Central Market). It is also a quiet street. The rooms and amenities are good and the staff are excellent, above and beyond.

Good extended stay hotel right between the UN and Grand Central Terminal. I was there during hurricane Sandy and they had back up power, stocked up on water for us and were always cheerful. Aka united nations is perfectly located, well equipped, European style with all amenities e.g. In the kitchen you need. Stuff is professional and always friendly and helpful. Internet is free and with perfect speed. Forget about the breakfast that is just coffee, apples and pastries. And be aware that the aircon is not up to date and more old fashioned... More

What pleasantly surprised on the location and cost. It's close to wonderful places to eat. Rooms are very nice and clean. I especially loved the white sheets on bed...AHHHH...Definitely coming back. The staff was very couterous and breakfast was nice. The doorman will hail a cab for you which is important when it rains.
