Excelent location. Reasonable prices. Basic. I definetly would stay there again. If you are looking for cost/benefit is a good place to go.

Terrible! Bedbugs, cracked door, cold, awful staff and more. Stayed here for a week during New Year's... It was terrible! Don't stay here. They have changed their name from Columbus Hotel or something, but that does not seem to have helped... Even though the location is good, it does not make up for the other aspects mentioned above.

I stayed here quite a while ago, but the reviews look like nothing has changed.
I got locked in my room. The door was "child proof" so you couldn't open it from the inside. There were bars on the windows, no phone and no phone number for reception. It was extremely hot and the little fan would spark, so I...

This is the worst hostel I have ever seen and I highly recommend NOT to go there.
I initially booked a room in the Broadway Hotel and Hostel for my boyfriend and me as we were planning to go to a concert on a friday evening. When we arrived at the Broadway Hotel and Hostel we learnt that some rooms...

I reserved this hotel on this web ten days ahead of times, but when I arrived, the staff of reception told me that all room are full, then called someone to reseal me to another hotel 96th street. That day was raining, so it was a very unpleasant move. The staff was very rude and without any faith.
I hate...

I got to the hostel past 3pm and there was a long line of ppl lining up outside the hostel waiting to check- in. The staff were inefficient on handling the check- ins. Many waited for 30- 50 mins in the crammed lobby waiting to check in. As I am a single woman, I thought the staff will have more...

We thought this was a fairly decently priced hostel. We had a very small private room but there was plenty of space down in the lounge. The staff seemed reasonable and it was in a very safe and nice neighborhood and were happy with what we got for the price we paid. But BEWARE...we came out covered in bedbug bites....

I stayed here in April 2009 for 4 nights at $16 per person per night.
The location is fantastic, next to central park a subway station.
It was a bit of a shock when i first got there. The rooms are very small and cramped but are clean and we didnt spend much time in there. Its ok if its...

as opposed to the inhospitality business, Terrible customer service bordering on rude behavior which may turn off all the good things the neighborhood has to offer. If you can, force your cabdriver to accelerate when in front of this place instead of stopping. Booking this place was a terrible mistake.

Visited New York in 2006 with my sister. Decided to stay here as it was cheap. Big mistake.
1. Building smelt of urine
2. The room was really basic, $10 child's bed frame and shabby sheets.
3. Paint coming off the walls, rat poison everywhere, mold on the walls and celling.
4. Shared bathroom, blocked loo and urine on the...
