Small reception, great all day lounge access if you want a bit more space and where the staff is extremely friendly, nice modern rooms, and good location. Only one thing, no tea making facility in the room so I had to go to the lounge, otherwise would go back there again. More

Hyatt 48 Lex has managed to crack the code in terms of offering an end to end superior New York hotel experience. The concept here is a bit unique - a big brand name but a "boutique" format with just 6-ish rooms per floor with incredibly attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are new and nicely furnished and on the larger... More

We had a spacious studio room whose design was both fashionably modern and highly functional. Everything was spotlessly clean and operational. Among the room features was a mini-bar in which we able to squeeze our own water bottles, two large screen TV's, and a very comfortable king bed. The desk work area was well designed and practical. The in-room safe... More

This is a great hotel. People are correct that the lobby is tiny and unimpressive however how much time do you really spend in a hotel lobby? I'd rather have a bigger room than a huge lobby. My room was a great size and very clean and comfortable. I could control the temperature of the room and make it as... More

We stopped over in New York for a few days following a business trip and wanted a 'nice and conveniently' placed Hotel. Hyatt 48 lex came up far better than expected with a modern almost funky environment, very helpful and attentive staff, reasonable sized rooms which were well furnised and a great location within easing walking distance of times square,... Stayed at this hotel for one day/night while in New York City to see a play. The lobby is very small and unimpressive, but everything after that was really great. Asked for an early check-in (arrived 10:00 a.m.) and got a room immediately. (Obviously, as this hotel becomes more popular, that perk may not be possible.) The staff was always... More

Stayed one night. Requested early check-in and was in my room by 11 am. Room was small, but comfortable for one. For two, it was crowded. Bathroom was nice. Good bed. Nice bedside lighting. I would have enjoyed sleeping late except we were awakened by the housekeeper knocking on our door early in the morning. The 'do not disturb" sign... More

I travel to New York on business up to 6 times a year. May 11th to May 16th 2012 stayed at the Hyatt 48 Lex for the first time. I will be back, it was really nice. Atmosphere great, rooms excellent (and quiet which is unusual for Manhattan). The restauarant and bar are really really good (food to die for).... More

Looking for a beautiful, yet quiet hotel in New York which is conveniently located, try the Hyatt 48 Lex on Lexington and 48th. It's become a favorite for those of us who do not prefer a giant lobby with hundreds of people and long lines. The food is excellent, the rooms very comfortable, love the bedding, and the price reasonable. More

I spent five nights here and felt there were several lacking features. First of all they are understaffed. The bellman/check in guy was trying to do the best he could but it is ridiculous what he is required to do. No one to open the door for you as you drag your bags from the cab to the hotel... and...
