This B & B gave my daughter and I an overview of Harlem and New York City on the Cheap. The rooms were cleaned daily, towels provided and the owner Felicia gave us a map, mapped out our tour and explained the Subway system. I would stay again but remember these things....Felicia has a lot of guests and sometimes forgets.... More

I found this place on Trip Advisor and was so glad I did. I celebrated my 60th birthday with my 2 daughters and the Emory Suite was just perfect for us. Great decor and breakfast and everything in the rooms you could want. Such a shame Felicia is not so good at the admin and does not always answer e... More

My husband and I have been to New York several times and have stayed in a variety of hotels, however, never have we been made. To feel so welcome, as we have at the Renaissance home, from the moment we arrived, Felicia the owner made us feel right at home, it was our 4th wedding anniversary, and she had a... More

A BnB in NYC? In Harlem, no less! Too adventurous for some. But I'm glad I found it. This historic house needed a lot of TLC when the current owners found it, but it has been a real labor of love bringing it back. Very quaint. Very meticulously put together. Rococo decor. Lots of fascinating antiques. More amenities than most... More

This was the best hotel/B&B I have ever visited in New York City. Our host Felicia was a very nice and friendly person. For her guests she is doing all her best! It was really comfortable, our room, the bathroom, the house! Perfect! :-)

My boyfriend and I stayed at the New York Renaissance Home for 4 days in March, 2013. Because we had an early flight, we arrived at the B&B around 10:00am. Even though we knew check-in wasn't until 3pm, we went there early to ask Felicia if we could leave our bags in the lobby before going out to sight-see. When... More

We stayed three nights in the rose room at the start of March this year. We loved our stay at this charming guesthouse. We were anxious due to the shared bathroom situation as we had never done that before but had no issue at all. The shared bathroom is huge and spotlessly clean, it gets cleaned three times each day... More

THIS is the way to stay in NYC! You feel like you've gone back in time, but in the nicest possible way. A reminder of how elegant Harlem once was and before long will be again. The owner and hostess, Felicia, has a graciousness that fits the ambiance perfectly. Loved the whole experience.

I have been to this B&B for 5 days during my trip to both NYC and Boston. The place is amazing, great pieces of ancient art and also in quite a calm borough. I was excited by our plans to stay at the Renaissance Home during our recent visit to family in NYC. It is a beautiful old building full of history.
