Lovely hotel. Superb location. Wonderful rooms. Very cool bar. Friendly and efficient staff. Pricey but you are on 5th avenue. I like the idea of the free wine in the lounge in the evening, but the red was awful. I'll definitely stay there again(if I can afford it!). More

Went for business. No one to help with luggage upon arrival. Rooms very modern and clean but the closet was tiny and there was 1 drawer. We were 2 people in the room and it was a tight squeeze. Literally left most things in my suitcase and lived out of that for 4 days. Had a business appointment next morning... More

Overall very good experience. We were in NY for my niece graduation and we booked different types of rooms... all very nice. Simple elegance and good ambience. Fantastic design, beautiful views, excellent room comfort, good linens, great bathroom and amenities, excellent location, just in the middle of NY, close to everything, 1 block to central station, 2 blocks from Times... We checked into the Andaz for our honeymoon and had high expectations as we had just had our wedding at the Grand Hyatt back home (part of the same chain). Check in was smooth and efficient but unfortunately this is where the good service ended. Our room was spacious & modern with a great view, but the shower head was... More

Dear Katjmoo, Thank you for your feedback and for recognizing Kelly for her efforts during your stay! I am very disappointed in the other service you received during your trip, as warmth, friendliness, and a sense of urgency on delivering on your requests are truly how we try to set ourselves apart. I sincerely apologize for missing the mark, and... More

The hotel is beautiful but the staff is really what makes this hotel so special. They are all so wonderful and really truly there to make your stay memorable. We came to celebrate our anniversary and we got an upgrade of a lifetime :) thank you for making our stay so special - we are truly grateful. More

Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. My wife and I stayed here in Nov. 2011 for our anniversary. As soon as we approached the door, we were treated with great respect and care. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room, which was a great touch. The staff was great. The rooms were... More

Stayed for 3 nights, check-in was smooth, rooms were amazing......free coffee in the morning and wine at night were nice perks. The location is perfect, 1 block from the subway, close to Grand Central as well and fantastic view of the Library on 5th. Had the late check-out as a Platinum member as well and had the same issue of... More

How wonderful to find a hotel in NYC with big stylish rooms, beautiful big bathrooms with huge walk-in showers. For us on a 9 day stay the position was perfect. And because the building was originally not a hotel 12ft ceilings.....amazing the difference this makes. Near where we needed to go for business, very close to Broadway for the nights and next... More

Stayed for 5 nights. As a Platinum Member, I was treated very well (late check out was not a problem, although the keys expired).... Pros: Good location to subway and bus, close to theatre, K-town, Times Sq., Chelsea, close to K-Town and 20 quick blocks from Eately and Flatiron area, nice room service (Russ & Daughters lox!), and free beverages... My partner and I stayed at the hotel in mid may for 4 nights. We loved it! The service was excellent. The location was perfect - central on 5th Avenue opposite the New York Public Library - what a view from our room! Check-in took 2 minutes - check-out was the same - amazing. So slick and cool - a...
