I've stayed in plenty of dud hotels in NYC in my time. Smyth really is different. Excellent value for money, trendy without being obnoxious, great extras like Kiehls products in the bathroom, etc. The front dest staff could be a little friendlier, but all in all this is a great hotel.

Very good nice, stylish hotel with modern rooms, good staff and a bit of "hip attitude" without getting ridicilous. Good location to reach downtown/wall street and Tribeca and the other areas up north. A very good option for a 4* in the area.
